The fight

I yawned loudly as mom woke me up at seven in the morning. When I was awake she hurried away to wake my brother up to. I started to get ready for school I put on some blue jeans and a pink t-shirt that I hid with a black cardigan. The white ground showed that it would be cold. And no, it wasn't snow it was just frost. I looked out from the window while I was thinking. "Breakfast is ready" Mum yelled snapping me out from my thoughts and I quickly went downstairs to have some, I didn't want to be late for the bus, again.
I quickly ate my sandwich and drank the hot tea, as every morning. I was tired of living all days the same. After the breakfast I ran up to brush my teeth and comb my brown hair. I looked in the mirror as I combed my hair, I wish it was longer. My brother soon came up to brush his teeth as well and I hurried down the steps to put on my black boots with chains instead of shoelace and my black winter jacket. I then put on my headphones before I left the house. The cold wind made me regret not taking any gloves but I kept walking to the bus.
I came right in time and jumped on the bus and sat down at the seat as far at the front I could. The music blasted throught my headphones the first three minutes before my friend, Jake, sat down beside me and tried to start a conversation. I listened and talked a bit even if I really wanted to listen on music I loved to talk with my friends.
After the long ride I put away my pink headphones in my black bag. Then I followed my best friend, Johanna, and Jake up to our lockers on the top floor in the school. "Which is our first lesson?" I asked casually. "Math" Johanna answered, I nodded and took my books to head to the math classroom two floors down. Our teacher came soon and our lesson began. I was long before the most people, math was one of my favorite classes.
Then the school day was like that class out class in, until the lunch break. We had a one and a half hours break that my class used to sit and look on thier stupid phones as they thought that they was the coolest person in the world when they annoyed the school cafe employees with blasting songs throught thier phones. I just rolled my eyes at them it was the same as always.
Every thing about the day was normal until Johanna and I got in a fight in front of everyone. It was probably the worst fight we had ever gotten into. We had small friendly fights all the time about silly things but this was nothing like them this was serious. Soon both she and I was so angry with each other that Johanna and I actually began to hitting each other hard and with no mercy. We countined until Jake and Philip came and pulled us apart. I belive the whole class was there looking at us with big eyes every one knew that we were best friends. "I hate you Bitch" she spat. I slipped out of Jakes grip and hit her again, sadly this time a teacher happened to walk past to see me hit her. "Manda, Johanna come with me" she said with a strict voice. "Sure" I muttered as we walked after her to the principle. The principle sat behind his table looking between us. "Manda and Johanna, I never thought I would see you two here again" he said suprised, we was here to complain about a thing together last year. Miss Jones appeared again. "I saw them fight in the cafe" she said with a dissapointed look on her face. "Really?" he asked us. We both nodded not looking at eachother. "I'm dissapointed in you girls, I will let you go with a warning, if this happens again I will call your parents understood?" he asked with a serious tone I nodded and then we both returned to our class. Our english class had begun already as we stepped in the clasroom. We didn't say anything we just went to our seats and listened at the teachers lesson.

After school I went home with the bus. I sat alone in the seat with Jake and Johanna behind me, they chatted. I could hear Jake asking about our fight and Johanna ignoring his questions.

When I finally was home I sat infront my computer I quickly logged in to my twitter. I had over one thousand followers by now. This account was my alterego. Nobody knew it was me, mostly because they weren't from my country and if they was they lived far away. I tweeted "Just got home from the worst day ever, hope you have a better day than me" with a sad smiley and a happy smiley beside eachother in the end. I got one hundred likes in one minute and a bunch of comments asking what had happened. I didn't respond to any, I didn't want them to know to much about me.
I sat there scrolling and reading some tweets before I started to play a game. I put on some music in my headphones as I started the game. I ran, hid and shoot fireballs killing like ten people before my team won the game after one hour.

Not so much had happened today except the fight then. When my brother came home he sat down in front of me playing on his computer to. I quit the game and locked my computer before I sat down in the couch looking at Pretty Little Liars on the TV. I wasn't very concentrated on the TV and sat thinking about the fight, she really hated Johanna now, how could she think that about me? I really didn't want to see her ever again.

The escape

The next morning I stood waiting on the bus, my classmate stood beside me and we chatted a bit. When the bus finally came we jumped on and I took a seat so far back I could, just to avoid Johanna. Soon the bus was full and I sat listening on my music not caring about anyone else in the bus. When the bus finally came to the school I walked out from it and in to the school. I walked so slow I could and when I was up at my locker I put my things in it and took my things so slowly I could. Nobody was in the corridor as I walked to the classroom. I was late and the teacher was furious as I took my place. The whole day I sat so far away from Johanna and Jake I could and I came late to almost every class. Not 'cause I really cared.

The next week I began to socialize with other people in my class and I went out to be with them almost every night. I had fun with them and wasn't even close to Johanna nor Jake on very long.
My parents wasn't worried at all, they were happy that I had made so many new friends in my class and never even thought that something was wrong, until the day Johanna tried to talk with me again. She came and sat beside me on a break about a month after our fight. "Hi Manda, can we talk?" she asked shyly. "No" I said simply. "Well I just wanted you to..." she began as I cut her off. "I said no" I spat in her face clearly annoyed at her presence. "But, I'm sorry" she tried. I turned around so I was now facing her looking at her face irritated. "And you couldn't say that until now?" I asked hardly. She seemed chocked by my words but I didn't care. "Now you're just being mean" she stated irritated. "Say the girl who accused me to be dating your crush after I had promised not to?" I said. Well yeah maybe that sounded a bit silly but it wasn't. "I'm sorry" she whispered. "No you're not" I stated. "Yes I am" she screamed annoyed. "If you were why didn't you say that before?" I screamed back as our screaming fight started again. "I HATE YOU" she screamed as her hand flew towards my face hitting my cheek. I put my hand over my cheek that was probably red now. I saw that everyone looked at us again. Once again a teacher was there and we was sent up to the principal once again.
"Again girls?" he asked with disappointed eyes. "I didn't even touch her" I said irritated. "What is going on really?" he said ignoring my words. Johanna told him her side of the story and I listened irritated, even if she told the truth. Then I told him my story, also the truth but from my side. "Well, I said one warning right?" he said looking at us both. I nodded. "But I didn't hit her" I tried. "But some offensive words was said right" he said looking at me seriously. Johanna nodded I didn't I just sat there. "Please don't call my parents" Johanna tried. The Principle shook his head no. "I said one warning, I will call your parents and tell them what happened" he said strictly. "I hate you" Johanna muttered to me. "I hate you more" I muttered back. The principle didn't seem to notice as he called our parents. He told them what happened then we had to sit in his office for an hour talking with each other until we agreed to not fight anymore. We did so and he let us go. Johanna and I didn't say anything to each other under the rest of that day.

When i came home my dad was furious screaming about how I stupid I was to fight and hit my best friend. I didn't listen at all. "No computer under this week" he ended. I nodded and went to my room not willing to continue see any one right now. I sat on my phone tweeting that dad had taken my computer and other things. I suddenly got a brilliant idea, I thought then.
I quickly packed a bag and climbed out from my balcony. Hidden by the dark I walked way from the red house. I had a jacket and some warm trousers but after a short while I was freezing. I was in the middle of a forest as I started a little fire with the help of a lighter I had gotten from home. I camped out there and slept in a sleeping bag under the stars. Knowing I wouldn't go to school tomorrow or the next day I fell asleep.

The friend

I woke up at ten when I heard somebody calling on my phone. I looked at the ID, Cory, I stared at it awhile before answering. "Hello" I said. "Hi Manda where are you?" he asked worried. "Why do you ask?" I asked not so interested. "Well your parents say you are missing and they have searched for you the whole night" he explained. "Well, I can meet you at the tourist information house in one hour" I spoke knowing he wasn't at school as it was Saturday. "Yeah, meet you there" he nodded. "I trust you so I believe that you come alone" I said and then I hang up. I then felt how cold I really was. I packed my simple bag and then I walked to the place I would meet Cory, Johannas crush, at. I walked slowly knowing I had an hour until I should be there. I came out of the forest just beside the Tourist Information and walked in to the grey house. In there it was a old car that didn't work. I sat in it and pretended to be driving it as I played the fake radio in it. "Hi" a soft voice said as it entered the car. "Hi" I said looking at him. "Where have you been?" he asked. I looked around and told him. "Why did you run from your house in the middle of the night?" he asked curiously. "Because I'm tired of this place and wanna try something new, you can join if you want" I offered. He thought about it awhile before nodding. "Sure, why not" he spoke. I nodded to. "If you want to have a bag with something in you can go home and pack a bag then we can meet at the beach in thirty minutes" I said and he nodded, then he climbed out the car and went home to fix a bag. I sat a while in the car then I went to the beach and waited for him. After thirty five minutes he came carrying a blue backpack. "Hello" he said smiling. "Hi, shall we go?" I asked back, smiling to. "Sure, where are we going?" he asked. "This way" I smiled and began walking into the forest again. We walked and talked and laughed together the whole day. We stopped one time to eat. He had luckily brought some food. His green jacket shined in the sun light and I admired him, he was handsome really and nice to, I could see why Johanna had fallen for him.
When the night came we fell asleep in our sleeping bags. "Goodnight Manda" he said with a tired voice. "Good night Cory" I smiled back not being as tired as he was.
I laid down a long while looking at the stars thinking about how this was Johanna's fault. That I shouldn't be here if she hadn't started the fight, and I actually thanked her that she set me off to this adventure. I fell asleep smiling to myself since I was so happy to do something new for once.

Next morning Cory woke me up smiling stupidly. "Good morning Cory" I smiled. "We are on the news" he said showing me a video clip on his phone. It was a serious voice telling everyone that if they saw the two young kids Cory and Manda should call to the police or their parents and a number was showed on the screen I smiled to. This would probably trend on every magazine soon. "Well, we can't show our self to people now, at least not the once that understands English..." I smiled shaking my head. Cory nodded and I knew that I was the leader of this adventure. "So what do you say about continue our walk?" I smiled "But first breakfast?" he said giving me a sandwich and some hot chocolate. Then we ate and talked before packing our things and continue the walk. We soon came to a big road with cars running by every two seconds. We then walked beside the road until we found a way under it back to the forest on the other side. We found a restaurant in a village probably 50 miles from our home where we stayed and ate. I had all my money with me so I had no problem with paying for it. The waiters on the restaurant didn't seem to recognize us from the news so it was no problems eating there, until the small TV in the corner showed the news, our faces was shown and the waiter looked at us for a while then back to the screen since we already had payed and eaten we just sneaked out when no one saw us. The waiter didn't run after us luckily. We laughed for a while before we heard some police cars coming towards us, probably the restaurant had called the police and we quickly hid behind some bushes beside the road.
When the car had passed by we climbed out from the bushes and continued walking. Soon we were at the beginning of a forest and we walked into it. We walked two hours before a brown creature was before our eyes. "Oh, what is this? Guests!" I heard a voice saying. The brown creature came towards us, it was a big brown bear. "Heeeeeeelloooo" The voice said again, I couldn't see anyone who talked somewhere close to us, I turned around and when I was looking at the bear again it was standing really close to my face. "Hello guest" the voice said again as the bear pushed me with the nose. "Hello? I said more like a question. The bear gave a happy sound and I heard the voice once again "THE HUMAN SPEAKS" I looked at Cory who stood frozen, I suddenly heard his voice, but his mouth wasn't moving it said "I'm so afraid right now, wait she's looking at me act cool" and then he stood a bit more lazy like it wasn't a big deal with a bear. "It's okay to be scared you know" I said to him, and he looked at me like I was a ghost.
"She can hear my thoughts?" the first voice asked when I looked at the bear again. "W-What?" I stuttered. "SHE CAN" it said. "Wait is this the bear I'm talking with?" I asked it. "Yes ma'am" The bear answered and did a move that looked like a nod. "W-What is your name?" I asked it. "My name is Lionel" he answered. "Hi Lionel" I began. "I'm Manda and this is Cory" I said nodding my head to Cory. " The bear nodded again and then he told us to follow him. I walked close after it and Cory followed me. "You can read thoughts?" he asked me. "No, I don't think so" I answered confused. "I think you can" he explained as the bear stopped in front of a cabin. I looked at Lionel and he said "The cabin is empty, welcome to live here if you like" I nodded and walked in to the cabin Cory came in to and we put our stuffs down on the floor. The cabin was not so big but it had two bunk beds in a little room in the corner and a small kitchen in a room just beside the front door. It was spider net almost every where and it was dusty. This showed that the bear must be right, nobody lives here anymore. I walked out of the cabin again to thank the bear just to see that he was gone. "Thank you" I whispered like he could hear me.
