Chapter 1

Katie was always a "happy go lucky" child with a constant smile on her face which met her red cheeks. She was a gorgeous girl with a unique difference, her birth mark on her eyelid. Her blonde hair reached her shoulders while her heart sparkled as bright as her ocean blue eyes. She had a heart of gold but like any other four year old, she had her cheeky side.

She gave us our fair few frustrated moments but she always ended our day with a smile. She loved school, the colouring and artistics which such a big imagination, she had many of friends at school who she loved to see every morning.

Me and her dad could both see a bright future for her, as any parent would but we could see much more than just a future we could see our little girl going far.

With her dad working most hours of the day, me and Katie had a close bond she was always a mummy's girl who would love nothing more than cold nights in watching family films and cuddling with me on the couch. Our family was the perfect picture, with ups and downs but we always got through them no matter how big or little the issues we had to face, because we always had each other to stay strong for.
