I was six when they told me I'd be going into foster care. I was an only child on my way to becoming a big sister before the incident occurred. But that dream of having someone depend on me is gone. My name is Emily and this is my story. This story is about things that have happened in life and warning may be possible triggering.

I'm 16 now and I still remember the screaming and pain that they went through... I was 6 years old and did not know any better.. My daily chore was to lock the door but one night I forgot. I woke up by the sound of my mom screaming in pain. So I went in their room like any curios kid would. When I got to the door way I was greeted to a gun on the floor and my parents two bloody corpses that smelt like death laying side by side. My mom had one blow the the head while my dad had two. While I was going to see how the intruder entered I then remember I forgot to lock the door.. My heart dropped to the floor and the feeling of guilt over came my body.

 Since I have been in foster care I have gone to 7 different foster homes in the past few years. But today would end up being my last hope. A couple weeks ago I got in trouble with the police and my foster parents didn't want me and gave me to Mr.Whitie who is my social worker. Since I've been through to many homes this would be my last one. Mr.Whitie is always upset with me since I cannot stop getting in trouble.
