Dear Readers,

New semester, same old me, let's get right to it. First week back on campus, rumors every corner I turn. We all know that I'm not one to blog without background knowledge of whatever it is I'm telling you about. However, this time, it's different, this time I'm asking you guys. I've heard there's a new boy here at Yale, one who's also studying journalism, like me. Now, don't go getting me wrong, I'm not worried about competition or anything. It's evident that I'm top dog when it comes to this kind of thing. Curiosity takes over though, tell me what your guys know. The only fact I've got is his name is Hayden Frederick, for now though we can call him, Lone Wolf. Email me details!

Xoxo,

The one and only, Ginny Wes.

For a girl who seems to only ever sit in her room on a gossip blog and go to classes, I seem to be in on everything. Including fresh meat walking through the double doors of Yale for the very first time ever. No wait, fresh meat? Okay, that made me sound like a total vampire. Not Edward Collins here, I don't sparkle in the sunlight. Any who, my laptop's my best friend, I take it everywhere with me. Literally, it's on me twenty four seven, you never know when you'll find something you just have to tell the world about. Ooh, like that time when Stacy from my creative writing class in tenth grade went behind her best friends back and lost her virginity to her best friends boyfriend, Chad? The minute I overheard Chad and Stacy talking about it, well, let's just say it was everywhere in minutes. Stacy and her once best friend, Avery, still haven't talked to this day. Avery's now my roommate, she's here for the same reason as me, journalism, not gossip. Avery and I have gotten close, not best friend close, but close. Before you go asking, yes, she knows it was me who told about Stacy and Chad, she actually thanked me.

Pulling myself out of bed and away from my laptop, I drag myself to my closet, time to ready myself for the day. Shifting my shirts from side to side, a frown crossed my face. In reality, I wish to just stay in my pajamas, but I know as the gossip, if you don't dress to impress you get a bad rep around here. Life is a game, where one does not simply make up rules as they go, but one is handed a rulebook and expected to play by it. I'm just another player, in it for the long run.

With a heavy sigh, I pull out a top fashion pick then head to take a shower. Listening to the ding of my laptop as I receive  messages about "Lone Wolf" while I do so.

°°°

After a quick ten minute shower, I place my laptop in my school bag, grab my car keys and phone, then head out the door. Class is all the way across campus, of course I'm driving there.

"Ginny! Wait up!" Avery's voice calls after me, I slightly turn my body to see her running after me. Her backpack on and her hair a complete mess. "Going to class? Can I get a ride?" A simple shrug of my shoulders and nod of my head let's her know that I'm okay with it. She smiles and hops in passenger, pulling out a hairbrush, putting her hair up in a high pony. I drive us to class with us both humming along to the radio.

"Does it ever annoy you that your roommate is the head of campus gossip?" I randomly question Avery, I know I shouldn't care, but it's a question that seem to pop into my head allot when I think about or see her. Another thing would be, why hasn't she requested a room change, sure we've known each other since head start, but isn't she worried I'll spill something on her like I've done so many times before to our other friends? If she's not, well, props to her for having such a high level of confidence about this whole thing.

"Here's how I see it, I've known you the longest out of all your friends. We may not have actually talked of gotten close until that whole Stacy and Chad thing. But whether you like to admit it or not, I'd consider us to be best friends in a way. If you wanted to take your shot at me, well, I think you would have by now Gin." She does make a valid point, but I'm not the type to just set back and hand a medal to someone else. You have to work for what you want, and if you want the gold, you damn well better show me you deserve it.

"How do you know you just haven't given me something juicy enough to blog about yet?" Her face doesn't change expressions, she seems almost completely unfazed by what I just asked her. This girl has a tough wall to break down, she's made of bricks.

"I guess I'll find out then, if the day ever comes." She shifts her attention to look at me. "That's a big If there Ginny, I'm very doubtful on this whole thing." Her hazel eyes burn whole into mine, telling me she believes energy single word of her side of this conversation. Her hands move up to tighten her caramel hair in its pony, before she as on. "Let's get to class before we're late."

My green eyes stay locked on her for a minute as she walked away, my dirty blonde hair blowing in my face starting to block my view. "Whatever." I mumble in response to Avery, knowing she can't hear me. Slightly walking, slightly running to catch up with her. The bell rings in five, no way we'll be late to class current speed.
