Deja vu

Do I know you?

I think I do.

We’ve definitely met before.

Now.

Something, somewhere

I cannot ignore.

When old scenes revert

In some strange place?

Yes, you know the feeling too!

Yours is not a face I could misplace

Over the span of my own as I look back

From out of time already seen as in

The image I know will appear, the very same

Mirror I consult like an oracle to defame

Myself as an imposter from yesteryear.

Right here, right now…

Almost like that song, you know,

Begin the Beguine…

Or, I’ll be seeing you,

again…

You don’t say?
