I want to dedicate this book to ...my mother Shaheen Kay Aslan. Thank you Shaheen, for giving me the strength and  the courage to challenge myself, my reality and grow into the woman I am today. I am thankful we both took the time to heal and rebirth into the women we were always meant to be. 

Thank you to all the souls that walked into my life during this time, you were all apart of this healing process. Thank you to my two pups Gracey and William for giving me so much love everyday. Finally thank you God for giving me this path of heartbreak, pain, shame, loss, strength, forgiveness, love and healing. This is my story, my fairy-tale, and the path back to the beautiful little girl within me. I am sharing it with you all, hoping you all find your paths as well. If a few of us have the courage to show up, and be real, than that gives a space for us all to be authentically ourselves.
