Chapter One

"Erin,Max is looking beautiful.Keep him straight and try that jump again."The bay gelding beneath me cantered smoothly, rocking me in the saddle. He cantered towards the striped poles, quickening his pace with every stride.Soon we were flying over the rails, sand spraying in the air.We landed onto the sand gently,Max's black tail flying in the wind."Perfect,Erin.Take him to the stable, untack him and take him out to the field. After you've done that,I need to talk to you in my office please."Quickly,I untacked Max and lead him to the field.I released him onto the grassy field and watched him run for a minute. He galloped along the grass, whinnying. It was amazing to watch him have fun,so amazing that I forgot about meeting with Sasha.Shaking my head to relieve myself,I walked along the cobbled yard towards the office.Sasha was waiting in her office, sat down behind her desk. When she saw me walking in,she looked at me and sighed.

"Sit down,Erin.I need to tell you something,"Sasha said.I sat on the seat, looking at Sasha. She patted my hand.

"Erin,Max is being sold to another stable,"said Sasha, looking down."He's needed for his jumping and dressage skills. Its been s year anyway. We change the horses the students of pony club loan.Ill see you and the rest tomorrow morning at 7,right?"I nodded, shuffling my feet in their black boots with blue fluorescent stripes down the sides. As I stood up,I felt my blue hoodie and black Tshirt stick to me.Sweat covered me.Suddenly everything went black and I fell to the floor
