She has written chapter 1 and I will write chapter 2 so we will each write a chapter until we decide to finish the book. I’m very excited to be able to do this especially with her and I hope you enjoy!💕”

 I hear a loud knock on the little wooden door, I turn around to see that the little candle that lies upon the little table in the corner has been blown out, smoke appearing. I look around, Nick and Tailha are probably together and Pat went through to his bedroom. The knocking returns this time louder and stronger before a strike of lighting appears. I walk over to the door slightly anxious of what I may discover, when I reach the door I slowly begin to grab the handle, the door begins to creak like floorboards in an old Manor House. The door is slightly open, the night sky and stars are visible when suddenly there’s a loud high pitched scream. I slam the door shut and rush around the house, a million thoughts are in my head Tailha? Pat? I think to myself are they safe? We knew that we were at risk, though we had more time before they found us. I feel myself beginning to pant whilst running up to Tailhas room, but when I get up there the door is wide open and neither Nick or Tailha are there.

“  Tailha. “ I shout up “ Nick “

No response. 

“Tailha , Nick where are you “ I hear a voice scream. It’s Pat.

I start running again and start heading up the stairs where I bump into Pat and we both collide then fall.

“Pat, do you know where Tailha and  Nick are?” I say frantically

“No, but I think that was Tailha screaming, what if thy found us and took Taliha and Nick?” Pat asks.

I remember the knocking downstairs, what is that was a sign, some kind of warning?

“Quick Pat follow me”. I call

We both run downstairs to the door and see that it’s open again, below there is a small box with a note, I pick up the note and it says.

“If you want them back you had better come, and you better come quick”. 

Pat and I give each other a look, filled with fear and anger thinking, what now? 

 Pat and I leave our little home in the woods, Pat was mumbling something but I wasn’t paying any attention, Pat may be talking to me but I was still so confused at what these necklaces were and why we had them.  I think about Taliha and Nick, why didn’t we all just stay in the living room? We knew the risks of isolating ourselves yet we chose to do it? I just wish we weren’t so.. laid back we should have been more prepared for something like this, anger floods my mind. 

“Jess?..” I hear Pat ask

“WHAT?” I shout louder than I ever have, not purposely but the anger and fear overrides me. 

I instantly regret the choice I have just made of shouting at Pat, I didn’t mean to but I could not stop myself.

Pat gives me a look filled with sorrow, he hasn’t done anything wrong. His look turns to an angry glare, staring right at me.

“Jess, if your going to be like that then.” Pat starts.

“Pat I never meant to-“. I try to tell him, getting slightly irritated with him now.

“No listen, I see how it is, you always want to be the leader, you except me Tailha and Nick to just follow along despite us not agreeing on what you suggest!” Pat cries out.

This isn’t like Pat, he would never say such things to me. I don’t push anybody to agree with me and my decisions even though they don’t agree, do I?.

Pat rips off his necklace throws it to the floor and walks off into the wilderness of the woods, his dark shadow figure disappears. 

“Pat!” I yell, but I know he’s not coming back that easy. I feel goosebumps appearing on my skin, the cold air brushing past me. 

A bright light flashes infornt of me,the light is strong and glistening intensely. I walk towards the light, slowly, covering my eyes for the fear of the light blinding me. As I approach the light I notice that it’s Pat’s necklace. Why is it flashing with light? I pick it up, the blinding sensation getting worse, then suddenly the beeping sound begins the necklace is acting like a bomb that is about to detonate, the rim of the crystal begins to burn my fingers, the burning goes deep into my skin forcing me to throw it away quickly. The burning turns to a stinging and the pain is unbearable. I fall to my knees, this necklace it can’t be to protect us surely? Not if it’s doing this, what if it was planted by the enemy? Am I going crazy? Or were we almost poisoned? 

I feel my eyes closing, my body losing all power to function, falling that’s all can think of, Pat, Tailha and Nick drift away and I slowly fade away into unconsciousness.
