Chapter 1

With its first known use in the 14th century, the word Essay, as defined by Merriam Webster's dictionary, is a short piece of writing that tells a person's thoughts or opinions about a subject. By the above definition, it is safe to say that essays are basically a writer's view on a subject. Your essay could be a review of a book, reviews of movies, or an article write up like the sorts found on Essay service scanner.  An open letter to the president on why you think he should resign could also function as one. Though your view has to be presented rightly, It should also be able to draw a reader in, hold their attention with valid information and convince them that you actually know what you're talking about. This is where essay assistance sites come in. I used quite a few in my day, but paperial review had the best ratings from me.

ESSAY WRITING GUIDELINES

In College, writing essays is a given. It cannot be avoided, it is needed for scholarship applications, competitions, term papers, etc. Most people dread this part of the College experience because essay writing is seen as tedious and uninspiring. This has given rise to a number of sites, like Paperial, that exist to take this burden off your shoulders. These sites are there for those days when you are just overwhelmed and need a break.

On those days when you feel like giving it a try, listed below are a few tips to smoothen your path.

Essay Writing Tips

·Understand the question asked and the type of essay required

This is a crucial part of  essay writing, it can make or mar your work. Understand the question being asked in your given/chosen. Identify prompts like; "evaluate", "discuss", "compare and contrast", "explain", etc. And look out for any restricting words, e.g., amongst Latin American Countries, after the second world war, etc.

·Produce an outline

An outline gives direction and focus to your essay. Outlines make the final product better structured. The outline helps you break the essay into; an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.

When creating the body of the work different methods can be used, but my personal favorite is; write down everything that comes to mind when you think about your topic. Pick five or more main ideas and classify the rest under them. These five overarching ideas will make up the body of your work.

Writing the essay

The Thesis statement

Your thesis statement is that part of your essay that informs your reader what your goal is, think of it as a heads-up for readers. The thesis statement has to state your topic and the direction or argument of your essay. It is a single statement, that should be in the 'first paragraph of your work.

The Introductory paragraph:

The introductory paragraph comes after your thesis statement. It has to be engaging. A shocking statement or a short story can be used.

The Body paragraphs

This is the part of your work that really shows what type of essay is being written. Descriptions, explanations, arguments; they're done here. All main ideas are treated here.

The concluding paragraph:

This part of the essay is just as important as the introduction. Its function is to summarize the writer's ideas and stance. It shouldn't be too long, three - five sentences is ideal.

Reviews

This is the part of essay writing which most avoid, and this leads to disaster because overlooking it can undo all your hard work. A review needs to be done in order to ensure that the work is grammatically sound, that spelling is good and the right message is being passed across to readers. Reviews can be done as many times as deemed appropriate.

It is not easy to write an essay that will earn you a good grade, or argue a point to your satisfaction. If you believe you need help then leave all your essay writing jobs to the experts, like the great guys over at Paperial. You will be glad you did.
