Today was the day everybody was so excited for, while it was the day trey dreaded. It was humanity testing day. The where all children ages twelve to thirteen years of age determined whether they had the power to retain their humanity no matter what. 

On that day they forced a demon into every child's body. They would have one and a half minutes to dispel the demon by not letting it take over their bodies to see if they could retain their humanity. Anybody who could not do this was deemed powerless. Trey feared this day since his older brother Jayden went through it and was deemed powerless. He told him about how it felt to have a demon inside his body. It is terrible he said. When the demon enters your body you go blind and you constantly relive your worst memories and see your worst nightmares, and when you try to focus on your humanity the demon twists what you focus on and makes it terrifying. When his brother told him about what happens during the test he tried to find a way out of the test. But to his disappointment he found none. 

The day of the test Trey woke up before dawn and to sneak out of the city before his parents and the guards came to take him to the ceremony. He quietly slipped on his white T-shirt and his black pants and his black hoodie. He quietly crept past his parent’s door and silently jumped down the stairs so the creaking wouldn't wake his parents. This was one of the many skills He had decided to perfect since he heard about the test. Once he was down stairs he raced to the back door and carefully opened it he stepped outside and carefully, when he suddenly his brother said "Hey where are you going so early". His head swiveled so fast you would have thought they were giving away free comics at the corner. He jumped when he saw his brother and slowly started to back away thinking he might force him to stay and go through with the ceremony. Instead of trying to convince him stay or forcing him inside he just picked up the beige backpack that was sitting by his leg and handed it to trey. Then he said" I won’t stop you because I understand why you are doing this but just know if you leave now you won’t ever be able to comeback remember that." Then he went back inside. 

Hearing his brothers warning trey stopped to consider if he was making the right choice by leaving or if he was just being a coward. He sat on the ground beside the bag left by his brother. This bag represented the choice of leaving his family and everything he has ever known so that he doesn't have to go through the inhumane testing that they are forcing him to go under or stay and probably never be able to live a normal life but one of fear. He finally decided that he would leave and travel to another kingdom and become someone new. He grabbed the bag his brother left him and ran to away from his town. When he was a bit outside of the city he looked back at Onbec the city where he was born. As he remembers all the good times he has had in the city with his family and friends, a lone tear falls from his eye. Then he turns and walks away.

Percival woke to the sound of his butler and best friend nick knocked on the door to wake him up. Master Percival it is time to get up he called from behind the door. Percival never really enjoyed having a butler, but being part of the house of pryce one of the founding families of the kingdom it was required. At least his butler was his best friend. Percival got up put on his gold t-shirt with his his favourite blue sweater that had had his family crest on it. It was a sword crossed over a trident under a crown.  He slipped on some black pants and opened the door to see nick waiting for him in his black butler suit and school bag in hand. Percival grabbed his own bag of the floor by the door. together they went downstairs to the kitchen where nick had set there breakfast. Quickly Percival ate as Nick waited for him, as he had already eaten.Then together they walked to school. They would always go to school early so that nick could change out of his butler outfit. Unfortunately the school bully sandy shono was their with her maid Anne theb. Sandy was from another founding family. She was the most powerful member they have had in a while so they were always praising her, but because of all that praise she thinks she is better than everyone. So when every she sees nick in his uniform she makes it her mission to make fun of him. While sandy was walking from detention she saw nick in his butler suit. She started towards him , but Percival stepped in front of her stopping her from reaching him. Then nick put his hand on Percival shoulder and said Percy stand aside I can fight my own battles as well as yours i am your butler after all its my job. Then nick reached for his right hand. That's when Percy noticed he was wearing a blue ring that had a space design. Then it dawned on him that he had finally manifested his honour.  Manifestation of honour is an ability everybody descended from the first king has.
