Peter Van Werkhoven was born on the South-East Coast of Queensland, Australia, and grew up in a large house with his parents and seven siblings.
He discovered his love of writing in 2009 when he joined online book club Shelfari (now merged into Goodreads), and participated in multiple written role playing games. Deciding that writing a book was just like playing a written RPG, but instead writing for all the characters, he wrote his first book in 2011. Since then it has been all go.
The following year he participated in National Novel Writing Month, an open challenge for all to write 50,000 words in 30 days. He completed in time and finished with his novel, The Story of Silence. The following year he self-published the novel, and in November 2013 he wrote a sequel, titled Of Lights and Shadows, which was published the following year. Since then he has self-published one other work, a compilation of poetry, Tales From the Moon’s Eclipse.
His main genre to write is crime fiction, but he also occasionally dabbles in science fiction and comedy.
