Introduction
A few years ago I wrote this poem for my nan (Margaret Mackie) when she sadly passed away, I felt like writing a poem would help me cope with my emotions and would bring back all the happy memories me and my nan had shared, make me think of the happy times we had together.
I submitted this poem to a poem book company who was doing a poetry competition and I was so happy and lucky to be chosen to have this poem put in one of their books they had published. This book was called 'It's a colourful life'.
I can also remember sending this poem to blue peter and getting a blue peter badge sent in the post for it after.
