CHAPTER 1:The evil foster girl

Mia was coming down the stairs, reading a book titled "seeing is not knowing",when she heard her father telling her granny about a foster girl stabbing her foster mother in the neck. Her father is an investigator, who works for the community, that has always being his dream since he was a child. Her mother died when she was born, and her father has refused to marry another wife, ever since she was born.mai has always found a way to blame herself for the death of her mother, people have alway tried to tell her that she didn't not kill her mother but she would always still feel guilty. Mai is an educated lawyer, it was not really common for girls in her country to be educated, but she was one of the luckiest girls and she was also rich. She didn't really have a good time growing but her granny made life a bit easier for her, she loves reading books and knowing more about different things, as a child she will always read and investigate for things while her friends were playing as normal kids.

Her school was mostly for boys, girls didn't really go to school because their fathers considers it a waste they say"girls are totally useless what is the need for school? very soon they will get married and what do we fathers get of it?totally nothing, when they get married, their husbands can take them to school if they want an educated wife". That was what most people thought except for her dad,he was so different from all others, he promised my mum that I was going to be educated. There were lot of boys in my class 16 boys and 4 girls, those girls were also very rich like me with high standards. In there country those who were rich were very rich and thoes who were poor were very poor. Mai wanted to be just like her father that was why she became a lawyer, that will help her country. Mai is 23years old ready to work but she was asked to bring a case into the court and "the evil foster girl"she thought would be a good idea.

Mai came down to her granny and sat close to her, papa what did you say the foster girl has done?asked Mai she stabbed her foster mother right on her neck, but thank goodness that, that poor lady who offered to help that evil girl didn't die said granny(with a sad look on her face) that little girl is such a snake she added why do they really want to help foster kids, they don't even know anything about their past said dad, it is obvious that the child hates her, he said. (Mai don't look convinced) how can a girl about 10-11 stab a full grown up woman? (father and granny looked at each other) and who told you the the girl stabbed the woman added Mai,the foster mother didn't really need to say it out, can't you see that girl? Haven't you seen the way she behaves?said granny, but I am not still convinced that she could have done that said Mai.

It was obvious that the little girl committed this crime but Mai was going to keep believing that she was innocent and she was going to investigate the evil little girl.

Evening time dad was sat in his favourite sofa, the was give to him by his grandfather, the chair has spent almost 35 years with him,he was watching his program as always, granny was sitting next to him, she was sleeping-knitting,this sounds weird but this is when she sleeps and knitt at the same time, amazing right?. Hi dad she said and she sat on the sofa next to her dad, so how are doing with your case searching?not bad at all said  Mai, wow so tell me about it(he said with excitement)who's case is it? Asked dad it's zena's case you know the foster girl? I actually think she is innocent, don't you think so? No no no I wouldn't let you put your hands into that God forsaken case let her find someone else to defend her not my daughter said dad(with a face of horror)why asked Mai, there is more to that girl than you see
