They would never understand, I thought gazing across the field from the peak I was on. Not even my own brother Jay! Fury rose inside him and he dug his claws into the fresh earth but then there was always Robin, the fast intelligent female who was excellent at hunting or that’s what I thought.

“Hey Sparrow I caught another rabbit!” Robin called out from around the rabbit that dangled from her mouth as she padded up to him.

“Awesome I’m sure the others will eat well tonight!” Sparrow replied a tinge of jealousy that she was always perfect.

“We should head back or are you going to stay and freeze?” Robin teased sitting next to him then added, “what are you looking at anyways?” 

Sparrow sighed and heaved up and padded away only to hear Robin calling out, “Sparrow! What were you looking at? Don’t ignore me like you always do when I get too personal!” She cried in a desperate voice for me to reply, fresh tears welling up in her eyes. Sparrow hesitated but he kept going ignoring her question but just responded, “Come on it will get dark soon and the others are hungry...” Although she sulked and everyone looked sympathetic at her he knew he couldn’t let his guard down but he felt cruel just leaving her to sob. 

Later on, he didn’t get up to get food he just watched everyone eat around him before he left the cave they sheltered in. He was aware of a cat following him and when he heard a cough he recognised them at once. 

“Robin...what do you want!?” He growled turning on her as she stumbled out bewildered her eyes wide. “I-um uh...I wanted to check if you were okay! Your brother sent me!” She stammered her eyes blaring with frustration I couldn’t help but put on a smug smile. 

“Oh well I suppose you just don’t understand that you’ll regret following me!” He threatened.

She looked worried but straitened up and replied, “My father would have you killed if you laid a hand on me!” She was clearly trying to escape the situation but he wouldn’t let her go so easily but out of nowhere she bounded toward him claws out and toppled him over pinning him down he went limp and he felt her heart drop in panic but he flung up and rolled over to pin her down she then went limp but he didn’t release his grip and she started wriggling and whining so he leaned close to her neck jaws open and she let out a cry as he made a jerk toward her neck but impact never came and he just sat back from the shivering cat and he let out long periods of laughter. She sat up licking her chest embarrassed. She the looked as he padded away and he heard her fear as she admitted something that shocked him, “Please don’t leave me in the dark...I’m scared...” He turned to look at her and pittied her as he saw her head down her eyes looking away not making eye contact he saw this as an advantage. “I can take you to somewhere where you won’t be afraid...” He offered and she looked up excitement filing her eyes and she agreed with no question and he ran off and heard her calling desperately to catch up to him and he realised she wasn’t the best runner.

He slowed down as they neared and stopped at some ivy draping down from a tree and she met him there and they entered together. Her eyes lit up at the amazing fireflies and a pond with fish it was a dreamland and she was running like an excited kitten realising this she stopped and I couldn’t help but laugh at how beautiful and shy she was being.

“Um thanks for bringing me here” Robin meowed looking tired and letting out a yawn. He nudged her with his nose and rubbed along her cheek she froze for a second but then closed her eyes and relaxed. “I’m so happy we can be together here in secret...can we stay here for a couple nights?” She begged her eyes like the moon. He nodded and she smiled her eyes sparkling. 

 We had been here for a few weeks and I was really glad Sparrow had brought me here but recently I had felt sick and wanted to sleep all the time and now have a weird liking of frogs when I always hated frogs what is happening to me!? Sparrow says I’m fat when I am most definitely not! He can be so rude and judging at times.
