Jordan felt her face getting warm with excitment, but she wasn't too hot since the air was cool. Finally, she heard the sweet sound of her mothers voice saying,

" Alright, you can open your eyes, sweety?" Jordan did so and emediatly looked excited and happy as she looked at the glowing candles on the cake. The cake had silvery, white frosting on it and a white moon was on the top of the cake, then in blue frosting were the words, Happy Birthday Jordan while below the writing was a popout almost clay like sculpture that was edible of a silver dragon. Jordan smiled up at her mom and dad and grabbed their hands from either side of her and said,

" Thanks guys." Her dad said,

" Your welcome Peanut." Then her mom said,

" Don't forget to make a wish when you blow them out." Jordan nodded and closed her eyes, clutching her parents hands as she thought, I wish that my mind, heart, and spirit may take flight... like a dragon, who's mind is as clever as a cat, who's heart is as pure as gold, and who's spirit is as bright as the moon. with that she opened her eyes and blew out the candles that lit up the cake. 

After they each had a piece of cake Jordan watched with excitment as her parents got her gifts out. Their was nine gifts in all and she decided to start with the smallest one first. She got a necklace, but there was something different about this necklace. It was silver and in the shape of a flying silver dragon just like the one on her cake. Jordan put the necklace on and looked down at it with a large smile on her face, she then looked up at her mom and her mom said,

" It fits you perfectly." Jordan smiled and continued to open up gifts. 

Finally, she came to the last one. This one was large and oval ish she noticed that the wrapping was kind of teared in a couple spots so it wasn't hard to open to gift. Once Jordan opened it she emediatly became suprised and wrapped her arms around the silvery overlapping, plate like egg. That shimmered in the light above the table. Jordan looked at her parents and said,

" Thank you mom, and dad! Thank you!" She hugged her moms arm while wrapping one arm around the egg. Jordan also felt her dad wrapp his arms around her, as he said,

" Happy seventh birthday Jordan." Then he kissed the side of her forehead. Jordan smiled brightly and closed her eyes, sighing and thinking, This is the best birthday gift ever.

Jordan walked down the sidewalk with her hood up. She suddenly felt her bag start to rustle and she zipped the bag open a little bit whispering,

" Silvermoon, be quite and stop moving around so much." The young dragon gave a quite screeching noise that almost sounded a little cracked. Jordan smiled and added,

" We're almost home." With that she zipped the bag back up and continued to keep her head low as she walked down the busy sidewalk to the next cross walk. Jordan then crossed the busy streets of Queens, New york. Once on the other side of the street she turned right and walked till she came to a wide alleyway with metle stair cases and platforms on either side of the buildings. Jordan ran up one of the stair cases then continued till she came to the platform with a window and a single lamp light on in the room of the open window. Jordan then climbed in. Jordan sat down on her low bed and set the bag on the ground next to it. Then she unzipped it and scooted back till she lay flat on her bed. She heared her dragon make a sort of squeaky roar and started to climb up onto Jordan's bed. Jordan looked down to the ground and watched as her silver dragon came over and circled up next to Jordan and started to make small rippling noises that sounded similar to a purring cat. Jordan smiled and put her hand on the younge dragon's cool, smooth scale plates, and sighed. She then said in a soft voice,

" You know Silvermoon, sometimes I wonder when my life is going to change, but everyday  my life does change... don't  you agree?" Silvermoon gave another rippling sound of agreement and then Jordan said,

" Alright, lets go to bed, We've got a long day tomorrow." With that Jordan closed her eyes, and wrapped her arms around Silvermoon. 

With in minutes she was fast asleep, and didn't feel a thing, or hear a thing.

As Silvermoon slept she felt a burning yet cold sensation crawling along in her throat. Silvermoon opened her eyes and felt Jordan's hand on hers and without thinking, or having any control over it she accidently sneezed and breathed a sort of flame on Jordans hand. But Silvermoon didn't know she did, so she went right back to bed. What she didn't know was that her and Jordan's life was about to change... forever.

The next time Jordan woke up she saw that the sun was shining brightly through her window. Imediatly, Jordan started to panic thinking that she was late for school, so she quickly grabbed her backpack and grabbed her phone which was charging near on her desk. It wasn't until she looked at her phone that she saw she got a text from her mom saying, 

No school today honey, go ahead and sleep in. Thats when Jordan looked out the window and saw that there were flurries and a light snow covering the ground. Jordan sighed and said,

" Thank goodness." She moved towards her bed and layed down again making the matress bounce. Suddenly Silvermoon woke up with a jolt and Jordan looked at her saying,

" Sorry Silvermoon, hey, we get to sleep in." Jordan saw a small, tired smile come across Silvermoon's mouth before she fell back onto the bed and went back to sleep. Jordan smiled and put her hand on Silvermoons back again. Suddenly she noticed a sort of mark on her hand. She raised her hand off Silvermoon's back and saw a burn, but it wasn't any that Jordan would think Silvermoon would give her. It was in the shape of a cresent moon. Jordan looked at Silvermoon with a questioning look on her face and asked,

" Silvermoon, do you have anything to do with this?" She showed Silvermoon the mark, but the little dragon showed little effort to give her a complete answer, so Jordan layed her head back down on the pillow holding her hand up and thinking, I'll figure it out when I'm a little more awake. With that she put her hand back down on Silvermoon's cool scaled back and closed her eyes immediatly falling back into her thoughts and dreams.

When Jordan woke up she looked at her clock on her nightstand and saw that it was 12:24. She sat up and stretched her arms. Then looked down and saw that Silvermoon wasn't with her. She immediatly started to panic, saying,

" Silvermoon! Where are you?" Jordan got up and went through the open door of her room. She ran down the hall to her left and into the living room where she saw nothing was out of place or broken, till suddenly she saw that the fridge was open. Jordan then let her panic drift away from her as she moved into the small open concept kitchenet. Jordan came and stood behind the door of the refridgerator and waited. She leaned against the side of the counter and waited patiently. Finally, Silvermoon flew out of the refridgerator and closed the door before landing. Jordan raised an eyebrow at Silvermoon as Jordan noticed that Silvermoon had a piece of leftover ham in her mouth. Silvermoon looked up at Jordan and crouched down, Jordan smiled and said,

" Fine, if your hungry I'll make you lunch." She then walked around Silvermoon, opened the fridge and saw that they were low on steak. Jordan sighed and said,

" Alright, I guess we are going grocery shopping." With that she closed the fridge door and ran to her room with Silvermoon right behind her. As Jordan pushed the door open a little more she suddenly saw someone sitting at her desk chair. Jordan stopped where she was and said in a stuttered voice,

" Uh... who are you?" The person turned around in the wheely chair and Jordan saw that it was a red haired women with her hair in a braid. The woman wore some sort of silver scaled dress with silver leggings on and brown boots on her feet. In her lap was a Silver scaled dragon about the same size as Silvermoon. Jordan looked down as Silvermoon barred her teeth and extended her spikes on her tail. Jordan put a foot infront of Silvermoon and said,

" Hang on their Silvermoon." She then looked up with a narrowed and stern look, and said,

" Let me ask you again, who are you?" The woman stood up and gave a kind voice saying,

" You don't need to be afraid, I'm Kaleesy, and this is my pet Silverstrike, Akita." Jordan raised a confused eyebrow at Kaleesy and said,

" Alright, so why are you here?" Kaleesy said,

" I am here because I have chose you..." 

" Chose me for what?" Asked Jordan. Kaleesy said in reply,

" I have chose you to be the next Silverstrike protector. You own one of the rairest dragons in the world and as our world has evolved they have become endangered. That is when we come into place. We protect Silverstrikes all over the world but we are a secret organization, it wouldn't be so much of a secret if thousands of flying woman and girls like me flying in the sky." Jordan nodded and said,

" So you want me to be one of these flying... girls?" Kaleesy nodded with a respectfull smile and added,

" The mark on your hand was the symbol that told us you were ready, or your dragon thought you were." Jordan looked down at the burn on her hand then down at Silvermoon and said,

" So, this was you Silvermoon?" Silvermoon gave an innocent face and Jordan looked up at Kaleesy saying,

" She doesn't know? So was it her or something else?" Kaleesy said,

" It was your dragon, but she had no control over it. You were both asleep and your dragon had an instinct to do it, with out knowing she did it." Jordan then said,

" Well... how do I become one of these flying, dragon girls?" Kaleesy stepped forwards and held out a small bracelet like watch thing in her hand. Jordan took it in her hand as Kaleesy said,

" This will activate your transformation. Put it on and it will autimatically turn on." Jordan did as Kaleesy said and watched as a greenish blue light shined onto the screen. She watched as white words showed up on the screen, saying,

Put finger to the finger scan to activate transformation. Jordan did as the watch said and put her pointer finger to the screen. She waited till the screen lit up green and pulled off her finger. Then she looked up and said,

" Now what?" Kaleesy said,

" Now, you must say... Spikes up, and that will activate your transformation." Jordan looked at the watch and said,

" Spikes up!" Suddenly, she felt a tingling sensation crawl along her arm where the watch was on her wrist and Jordan noticed a Silverstrike scale was on her forearm and a couple more started to form on her arms and on her shoulders. Jordan then closed her eyes till finally she felt the tingling sensation stop. She looked down and saw herself wearing a short Silverstrike scaled skirt with leggings and Silverstrike scales on both her arms and shoulders for protection. Jordan smiled and said,

" Wow! This is so cool!" Kaleesy smiled and said,

" Now, to transform back, just say, Spikes down and you will detransform back into your normal clothing. Now, your first mission will be to fly to an old wearhouse. Your watch has a map on it and it can navigate you to it's location, I will send you the location tonight. Be ready to go by nine o'clock." Jordan nodded and said,

" So whats my objective?" Kaleesy said in reply,

" You will be finding clues as to where the base of the Secret Strikers is. They are the ones who are tracking us down and trying to capture our dragons so as to use them to destroy us, and so that their leader, Tailbarb can control all of mankind." Jordan nodded, her eyes narrowed and said,

" I'll find what ever I can." Jordan watched as Akita crawled up Kaleesy's back and wrapped her tail around Kaleesy's waist as Kaleesy said,

" Thank you for excepting our team, we are greatful for your help." With that Jordan watched as Kaleesy crawled out of the open window that Jordan left open all night and day and climbed onto the edge of the metel railing. Jordan watched with curiosity as Akita spread her wings and Kaleesy jumped off the edge. Akita carried Kaleesy up into the afternoon air. Jordan then said,

" Well, we still have to go to the store to get some lunch... and maybe some dinner... come on Silvermoon." With that Jordan said,

" Spikes down." Immediatly the tingling sensation started up again and Jordan watched as her new outfit dissapeared. Jordan walked over to her desk and opened a white jar on her desk. Inside were many dollars, which she grabbed a totally of forty dollars and shoved them into the side pocket of the gym bag by her bed and opened the main part up wider, saying,

" Come on in Silvermoon." The dragon leaped over and jumped into the bag and gave a sort of purring roar. Jordan smiled and said,

" I'll give you a breathing hole." With that she zipped up the bag partially leaving a large enough breathing hole for Silvermoon to stick her nose out. Jordan picked up the bag and slung it over her shoulder, then walked back into the small kitchenet and grabbed a pad of sticky notes that were on the counter and a sharpie. She then wrote, 

Off to get groceries, be home soon. With love from, Jordan. Then she walked on down the hall again, and out into the apartment hallway.

Once out in the street, Jordan looked at the sky and said in a quiet voice to Silvermoon,

" The sky's getting dark, we have to hurry." With that she put her hood up and went down the sidewalk to the stop light and when the other light across from it showed a walking person she crossed the street with a couple other people around her. Once she was on the other side of the street she continued to walk left of the street all till she came to a small groceriey store. She went in and walked among the iles till she found what she needed.

By now the sky was dark blue and Jordan was heading out when she accidently ran into three people who were blocking her way, she said,

" Oh, Sorry..." She tried to go around them but they blocked her path. Jordan looked up and said more sternly,

" Excuse me but I need to get through!" One of them said in a stern voice,

" Your not going anywhere, missy." With that they pulled her around the store to an empty alleyway. Jordan tried to pull them off her but she couldn't. Suddenly they threw her to the ground and Jordan landed on her elbows. She looked up in fear at the men and said,

" Your going to give us your money so you don't get hurt. If you don't..." He paused to take out a gun and point it at her then continued saying,

" Then we will hurt you." Jordan slowly stood to her feet with her hands up and open, then said,

" Fine, I'll give you the money, but first I want you to see something..." The first man laughed and said,

" Ha, and what can you do that no one else can!?" Jordan smiled and held her arm up with the watch on, she put her pointer to it till it made a dinging noise then said,

" Spikes up." She felt the tingling sensation come over her body, and it only took the time for her close her eyes then to open them for the transformation to be complete. She looked at the men and said,

" Now, lets see you try to hurt me." With that one of the men shot there gun at her. For some reason Jordan saw the bullet come at her in slow motion and so she had time to block the bullet with her arms. Her eye sight went back to regular speed and saw as the bullet hit the spikes on her wrist and forearm then bounce back onto the ground. She looked from the bullet to the men and said,

" Nice try but I've got more ways to deal with you then just that." Suddenly Jordan picked up a man and threw him over her head into the wooden fence behind her. Then as if it were an instict and as quick as lightning she threw spikes at the man which all pinned him to the fence. She turned to the other two men who looked at her with wide eyes and said,

" I want you to go to the police and turn yourself in, if you don't I will come and find you and you will be pinned to a fence looking like that guy." She pointed without turning her head at the one man who was pinned to the fence. She then walked back and grabbed her bag. Then walked out of the alleyway, once she turned the corner she walked down the sidewalk a little ways till finally she went into another alleyway. Jordan leaned against a wall and sighed then looked down at Silvermoon who looked through the hole. Jordan smiled and said,

" Lets see if we can get home a little faster, huh?" Her dragon gave a scratchy roar. With that Jordan went up the metel stairs of another apartment to the roof. She stood on the middle of the roof and then bent down to let Silvermoon out of the bag. Then she felt Silvermoon crawling along her legs up to her back. Jordan looked in the corner of her eye and said,

" First lets see if you can hover in the air right now, spread your wings and when I say go, I'll jump and you start flapping, okay?" She heard Silvermoon give a squeak in response. Jordan bent down saying,

" Ready... set...Go!" With that she jumped and as she came back down she felt herself slowing down till finally, when she looked down she saw that she was hovering in the air. She then said,

" Alright Silvermoon, you can put me down." She saw the dragon wasn't tired at all so she said,

" Okay, you ready to fly home, girl?" Jordan heared a high pitched squeak and said,

" I'll take that as a yes." With that she bent down a little and said,

" Alright, when you see I'm in the air start flapping." With that she ran to the edge of the roof and jumped off, closing her eyes. She suddenly felt herself going up and down. She finally decided to open her eyes and she saw that she was flying over the city. She smiled and tilted her body to the right. As she flew she looked and saw she was flying right over the busy streets. Jordan looked at Silvermoon and saw that she was sleeping. Jordan smiled and said quietly,

" We are almost home, Silvermoon." With that Silvermoon yawned and looked up. Jordan turned her head to look back infront of them. Jordan then said,

" Turn right here, we can go up the stairs." With that Jordan landed on the roof of the apartment she lived in and allowed Silvermoon to crawl down her back and into the gym bag again where the bags of food were. Jordan then went down the metel stairs and slipped into her room through the still open window. Jordan unzipped the gym bag and took out the bags of food. She peeked out of her open door and could hear her mom talking on the phone in the other room. Jordan quietly turned right down the hall and opened then closed the front door making it sound like she just came in. Jordan then walked into the kitchenet and set the bags on the counter. She then started putting the food in the food into the fridge. Jordan then saw Silvermoon come out of her room and asked,

" You okay Silvermoon?"  Silvermoon gave a sort of gurgly screeching sound before yawning. Jordan smiled and said,

" I'll get your food ready, then you can go to bed." Silvermoon trudged over to Jordan's side and sat down while Jordan stopped taking out the food to bend down and hold Silvermoons head in her palm saying,

" You did so good today Silvermoon..." She wrapped her arms around the dragon, gently and whispered,

" I have such a strong Silverstrike." With that Silvermoon pulled away and went to lay on the small sofa. Jordan continued to get the groceries put away. Then she pulled out four pieces of ham and put them on a plate. Then put the plate of ham in the microwave and set the time for tewenty five seconds. Suddenly she heard her mom come closer since she was still talking. Jordan turned to her mom who came around the corner and saw her mom mouth, Hi honey. before answering to the person she was talking to on her phone,

" No! Don't call her that, she's a good kid and maybe you'd know that if you ever came to visit." Jordan watched as she walked around to look out the window in the living room thinking, She's talking to dad... and I still don't want to see him. Jordan suddenly heard the beeping sound of the microwave go off. She turned around pulled the plate out, then put it on the ground saying,

" Silvermoon, dinner time." Jordan then walked out of the kitchenet and over to her mom. Her mom had just finished pushing the end button on her phone, saying,

" Uhh... He is such a stubborn person!" She turned to Jordan and putting her phone in the back pocket of her jeens said,

" Oh, Jordan... how was your day off?" Jordan smiled and said,

" Well, it definetly felt good to relax." Jordan's mom stroked her long, straight, golden, brown hair as she said sweetly,

" Well, thats good because today I got an email saying school is canceled for the rest of the week because some weird guy came into the school today and started going into the classrooms. But they all seemed to be your classes." Jordan looked at her mom and said,

" Oh... well, then it's good they closed the school for today." Her mom smiled and said,

" I got your note, and thanks for going grocery shopping for me... By the way, I'm going to order pizza, I thought that we could have a mother, daughter night." Jordan smiled and said,

" Sure... uh, I just have some studying left to do... don't want my grades to start dropping. I'll come out when I start getting hungry." Her mom nodded as Jordan left to go into her room, she then closed the door and flicked on her light switch. Jordan then realized that Silvermoon didn't follow her, so she opened the door again and poked her head out saying,

" Silvermoon... come on." Silvermoon grabbed the last bite of ham before running to Jordan's call. Jordan closed the door again and said,

" Alright, what time is it?" She took her phone out of her pocket and saw that if was eight, fortyfive. Jordan smiled and said,

" Well, it wouldn't hurt to get there early, would it?" She looked down at Silvermoon who was squeaking brightly and Jordan winked, saying,

" I'll  take that as a yes..." With that she put her pointer finger on her watch and then held her arm up infront of her saying,

" Spikes up!" With that she transformed into her knew dragon outfit. Jordan smiled and said to Silvermoon,

" Alright, lets go find some clues." With that Silvermoon climbed on her back and they both slipped out of the window. Jordan then bent down off the railing, using one hand to support herself by grabbig the next railing above her. Then she jumped and trusting her dragon, she flew through the air and into the night.
