I am a Scouser living in Coventry. I am ex army, ex NHS and ex drunk! I am a nurse by background and have worked with people with intellectual disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions for many years. I have specialised in the management of aggression and violence, providing a service to patients and their families at home and in hospital. I am currently unemployed (you get to a certain age and nobody wants to know) so I understand poverty, discrimination and prejudice but I have also been enriched by ethnic and religious diversity. I have been married three times (some say I just like cake!) so I understand loss. My father died just before Christmas so I am yet to get to grips with grief but I am trying to identify what I gained from him when he was alive and how I will use it now he has gone. I have studied psychology, theology and mythology and I hope to reflect this in my work. Satbir and the Sea of Sadness is the first in a series of seven books chronicling the life and times of Satbir Barachi and his friends. In future books many other characters from different cultural backgrounds will join him as heroes in his quest. Lets travel together.
