A beautiful evening on a beach in California where Maya is sitting on a bench with her small baby girl . At a distance she could see her husband Dev,trying to write something. Then Priya ,a young reporter comes and sits next to Maya. Maya notices that the girl was crying and offers her a tissue . Priya takes that tissue and wiping her eyes with it narrates her story scolding her boyfriend. She complains him of being over obsessed about her and that she just had a painful breakup with him.  Listening to this Maya smiles and gives her another tissue . Priya now realises that she had been sharing her feelings with a stranger , and then introduces herself.

Hi , I’m Priya,Working as a journalist,Sorry to disturb you with my story, but I’m really angry on him and had to share this with someone.

“It’s OK “, replied Maya .

I’m Maya. There , he is my husband Dev.

And this is my little princess Ria.

Slowly their conversation prolonged and they continued to discuss ‘stuff’ on various topics. When once Maya told,

“Priya,you have to realise that sometimes anger is also a sign of love, and you have to understand this as early as possible,because sometimes it may take your entire life to understand it and then you may lose your chance to get it back.”

Listening to that , Priya was confused, she could not understand what Maya was trying to tell her .

Then Maya’s daughter Ria had started crying and Maya asked Dev to come fast as they were getting late and also Ria was crying . Dev tells Maya that he would be done in 10 minutes and after that they could leave. Maya asks him to finish it as early as possible . Then Maya turns to Priya with a smile and says,

Maya – Check the time Priya. He said 10mins but I bet he will take another hour at least to complete. By the way what time is it ?

Priya – Its 5:30 now.

Maya –  I’m pretty sure he will make it  6:30 before he finishes his letter [smiling].

Priya – Letter?  To whom is he writing it to?

Maya – To Ria.

Priya – Ria, you mean your daughter?

Maya – No, to Ria , the women who loved Dev the most.

Priya – Sorry I did not get you ?

Maya – Didn’t I tell you that sometimes it takes your  whole life to understand certain things.

Priya – Yes but what is the relation between these both ?

Maya – Yes , there is a relation. That is what my life has taught me.

 FOUR YEARS AGO

CBIT engineering college, Hyderabad, India. Dev was one of those who worked really hard to get into this college with a scholarship. Being a hard worker and an intelligent student, he got a free seat with his merit . Maya and Ria also joined the same college , the same day and that’s where their life began..

Dev started getting habituated to the college and soon got some new friends -Ram ,a hyper active guy always acts to be studious.

Harsha ,an geek of books but when it comes to any matter regarding a girl , he will have all ears on it .

Chandu , a reliable friend to have and the one you need the most when you are sad.

Days just flew with time , but it didn’t take long for this four to become buddies . One day , think it was the  Holi festival , when the entire college was neck – deep , enjoying . Our gang was bang -on with all colours covering them completely , and that is when a girl comes to them and threw some colours on Dev . Out of the flying colours  he could not see the girls face . She ran away almost immediately and left Dev no chance to see her . But Dev had somewhat a blurred image  of her face but was able to remember her charming eyes . He went to his friends and told them about those beautiful eyes that had attracted him. He was pretty sure that he had fallen in love with that girl . First his friends commented on him not to be influenced by Goutham Menon movies , but later they realised that he was sincere in searching for the girl .

Dev’s friends had other intentions. They were eager to search for this girl because if Dev and the girl would fall in love , it would be easier for them to impress her friends. Out of this , they searched for her with more eagerness than they would actually do to help a friend .

Now CBIT is a huge campus with more than 2200 upcoming graduates in it . They have tried their best to search for this unknown angel who is the owner of gorgeous eyes.

After few days..

Ram – Can’t Dev give a better clue to find her. How can one simply find a girl by her eyes.

Chandu – True , this is getting tougher day by day. All our plans have gone waste and we are left with none .

Finally after losing their hopes they thought of giving up their search except for one ,Dev . He has been trying sincerely , but he didn’t back off with the result so far . One day , Dev and his friends were going to the canteen during lunch , when two amazing looking girls came to them. They stopped before Dev and asked,

“Excuse me, can you tell me the way to our Principal’s office.”

Dev went dumb recognizing her as his girl. For a moment he had A.R Rahman playing some background music in his brain, and like in most movies he was preparing himself for a song at that moment. She was standing there waiting for his reply, but Dev was in no position to utter a word.

Immediately Ram came to his rescue.

“Please go straight and take left after the 1st year’s class and you will have the office there .”

She replied a soft Thank you and left looking at Dev puzzled .

From the next day ,  Dev and his friends dressed their best and started following her . Ram advised Dev to talk to her and get to know about her. He also asked Chandu , to help him in giving ideas friends with her friends as he was the best in doing this. But Dev did not have the courage to talk to her . But Harsha was only the person who could help him .

Harsha – Can’t you have the courage to speak to her ? When you love a girl you have to tell it buddy. Now look at me and learn how to deal with this stuff .

Harsha goes to her and starts talking to her . She even started smiling to some comments Harsha was making and looking at this, Dev had somewhat felt jealous. He saw them both give a handshake, and scolded himself for not going in the place of him.

Harsha comes back to him showing if like a hero.

Harsha – Her name is Maya, CEC, and first year. She stays in Begum pet and she is????

Dev – She is!!!! What, tell me???

Harsha – She is………….single man, don’t worry

Dev – Hmm, but how did u ask her???

Harsha – Come on bro , now you need not praise me…take it easy buddy.

Dev tells to himself that it wouldn’t be fair to be jealous on Harsha who was his hero.

So as Dev was waiting for a chance to Maya who doesn’t love him. Forget about love , she doesn’t even know who Dev is. Behind this scene, there is a girl named Ria who loves Dev a lot but Dev is in love with Maya . Now, Dev don’t even know who Ria is…..

Ria, an other CEC student, saw Dev in the college canteen for the first time, when Dev was having lunch with his friends . But she did not have the courage to speak with him . She used to follow Dev regularly . She knew everything about Dev , at what time he wakes up ,at what time he comes to college, at what time he comes to canteen …..everything , like everything about Dev . But the same problem which Ria and  Dev had was …. courage to speak with the one they love . Dev didn’t have the courage to speak with Maya , and Ria didn’t have the courage to speak with Dev .

This being the common problem for many Dev’s friends tried to boost him saying – Dude , don’t worry we are here for you . Same thing happened in the case of Ria as well . Ria had really good friends who always help her . Now Dev’s friends told him that it was time for him to propose Maya , one of his friends says that everyday Maya comes to college by 8:30 so Dev should be ready by 8:10 , the next day , completely prepared . If this plan fails we also have a PLAN B . Maya would come to canteen every day at 1:00 for lunch . They would see that all the tables would be covered except for the one in which Dev would be sitting. In this way , they would make Maya sit with Dev and he could use this chance to speak up. At first Dev refused , but after further compulsion from his friends, he agreed to do so .

Meanwhile Ria’s friends compelled her with the same plan . They said that they would  make all the tables to be occupied so that she could sit with Dev and propose him .So even Ria gains that confidence to propose from her friends and prepares herself.

That morning , Dev got ready wearing a black shirt and a cream trouser and goes to college by 8:10 as per the plan . But he notices that Maya has already come to the college , unfortunately that day she was early . So he looked impatiently at his friends  and his friends asks him not to worry and they would implement  PLAN B . So at the ring of the lunch bell , his friends ran to the canteen but were shocked to see the tables already filled as per the plan . Ria’s plan .  So they took several seats in the canteen , and started a conversation with Ria’s friends and soon they forgot about Dev and were cherishing their moments with those beautiful girls . So Dev came to the canteen a bit late hoping that his friends would help him as per the plan . He saw there was only one table left and a girl in a yellow dress was sitting there . He didn’t look at her and with a feeling of fear and shy and slowly took his seat . He closed his eyes , took a deep breath , and began ……

Hi , this is Dev , please don’t speak anything  and don’t leave , I have some thing to tell you .  “When I saw you for the first time , I got a felling I don’t know how to express . But I can tell you that in this world there are two great feelings – one is when your mom touches you for the first time,and the second when your dad catches your hand and make you walk for the first time . These two are the most beautiful feelings in the world . But I am not that lucky to experience those feelings , because being an orphan I neither had the chance nor any relation to experience it . But I can say that the felling i got when I saw you was the first and the best felling in my life .I have been carrying this feeling since many days but I don’t just want to feel it anymore , I want to make you feel how I am feeling right now . I hope you understand my feeling”………..{opens his eyes slowly} AND GETS SHOCKED because it’s not Maya it is Ria .

Listening to this Ria felt very happy and immediately came to Dev and hugged him . She replied..

I never expected this from you , in fact today I have been thinking of proposing you . I love you too Dev ,  and till this moment I had feared of what your reaction would be . Seriously , this is one of the most memorable moments in my life . Thank you honey , Thank you so much , you are a real sweetheart .

When Dev was still freezed to hear these most unexpected words from a stranger , Harsha had come up to Dev screaming something like PARTYYY!!!!!

Harsha – Dev , CONGRATULATIONS buddy . You seriously need to throw a party now.

Now Harsh sees the girl and says “Hey , Who are you???”

Dev – That was what I have been thinking as well .

Hearing this Ria steps back , leaving Dev .

[Ram and Chandu came in almost immediately surprised to see a unknown girl there]

Dev – You guys know who she is , don’t you ?? You all just spoiled my day being irresponsible . I had proposed another girl instead of speaking to Maya . Now do you people realize how big a problem it is ?

Harsha – Actually what happened was..

Dev – Shut up . Now don’t speak to me .

Harsha – I can’t . You have to listen to me . By the time we came into the canteen , everything we planned for has already been implemented . So we just took seats with some girls over here . Now you came up , sat here , told everything to the girl in front of you without even looking at her face . And now you yell at us , in return .

Ram – Exactly!! We just couldn’t do anything .And bro, it wouldn’t be fair enough on your part to be doing this .

Dev – Whatever , leave me now .

And they did so and left for their hostel room .

Ria , at first was confused hearing all this , but later she understood that Dev have been planning to propose Maya and they were trying to follow the same plan as she was .

Dev – Excuse me , Sorry I don’t know who you are . I am in love with Maya and had actually planned to proposing her . I wanted to tell her everything I had told you , but unfortunately I told you . But I was really taken by surprise when you told me that you have the same feeling for me . But  I am really sorry for to this , i am in love with another girl . I seriously respect your feelings because I can imagine the pain if Maya tells me that she loves someone else . So knowing it  I am really sorry to make you feel the same pain . Please don’t expect anything from my side .

Ria feels somewhat depressed and hearing this . But immediately with a weak smile on her face , asks

Can we be friends atleast ??

Dev – Ya ofcourse .

{ Ria and Dev shakes hand with each other and became friends}

As Dev was angry on his friends he went to his room and he saw all his friends were talking to someone on phone . After some time Dev understood that they were talking with a girl so then  he snatched all their phones and said..

You idiots made the plan fail and now your talking with girls . Tell me who are they , tell me [screamed] .

Chandu – Actually when we went to canteen all the tables were filled with girls  so each of us went and sat with them.

Dev – Oh!! Wow amazing … You all are really awesome….[removes his belt and starts beating his friends].

So when Dev was getting ready for the college the next day , all his friends were acting they were sick . When Dev asked Harsha whether he was coming that day he told that he had lose motions . Ram told he had fever and Chandu told he was suffering with headache and vomitings . So Dev thought they were purposely ignoring him because of yesterday’s incident . So he went to college alone .

He sat alone on a bench in his class and Ria came to him ,

Ria – Hi Dev .

Dev – Hi Ria [says slowly].

Ria – Why are you so dull? Come on Dev, you can tell me, after all we are friends right?

Dev – Ya nothing actually am confused with Maya . I don’t know what to do with her???

Ria – Don’t worry if your love is true she will definitely come to you one day , so that day don’t miss your opportunity . Speak up your feelings with heart , she will love you for sure .

Dev – Ya even I wish the same.

Ria – Ok, now lets go out for lunch.

Dev – No you carry on , I think your friends will be waiting .

Ria – No they are not feeling well , they did not come to college..what about your friends ?

Dev – Even they did not come .. Weird right ?

Ria – So come let’s go out for lunch.

Dev and Ria came to a hotel in Begumpet for lunch where they found Harsha along with Ria’s friend Geetha , having lunch. Seeing that Dev calls Harsha ….. checking his mobile , excusing himself from Geetha for a minute he goes to the wash room and lifts the call .

Dev – Harsha , where are you ???

Harsha – I am in washroom can’t you hear the sound???

Dev – In which wash room ??
Harsha – In our room man ???  Where else do you expect me to go having loose motions….

Dev – Ok take care of your self.

and Dev cuts the call,and Harsha comes out of the washroom and came and sat with Geetha  again then suddenly a waiter comes to him for order… And sees that the waiter was Dev and laughs . Dev takes Harsha to the washroom and removes his belt and starts playing and comes out of washroom as if nothing had happened . But Ria was laughing because she could guess everything but Harsha requested Dev not to tell Geetha about it . So they just kept calm and Geetha and Harsha had lunch together and also Ria and Dev had lunch enjoying everything . The same thing happened with Ram and Chandu , Dev found Ram in cream stone with Ria ,s friend Swapna and Dev did the same thing he did it with Harsha, and also he found Chandu in a film with Maria another of Ria’s friends and again he took Chandu to washroom and as usual…… But there whole day, Ria and Dev spent their time together for  lunch,ice cream and a film and their enjoying by catching their friends made their day

Dev – Really Ria , today I had lot of fun enjoying with you, you made me forget everything .

Ria – Well thank you.

Dev – Ok Ria, bye , got to go, meet you tomorrow in college .

Ria – Ok bye good night , may Maya come into your dreams.

Dev – Of course she will .

Ria and Dev’s journey continued for some days . Ria became friend to Maya , and introduced Dev to Maya. Dev and Maya also became friends , from then ,  Ria helped Dev to get close to Maya. With Ria’s encouragement Dev decided to tell Maya, how much he love her. One day when Maya was waiting for a bus, Dev went to Maya on a bike, and asks her to come with him saying that he would drop her to college, but Maya after noticing that Dev isn’t going towards the college, questions him where he was taking her, Dev replies – her to be calm ,she did not stop asking but Dev didn’t utter a word and he takes her to the airport, Maya stops him asking him further questions and was angry on him . Dev – “Just trust me and follow”, there on Maya just followed him.

Dev took two tickets to Goa. And they both boarded flight and reached Goa , without even looking at each other, but Dev in his mind was doing rehearsals how to propose her, Maya being angry and confused,why Dev was doing this, was lost in her thoughts. Flight landed, they both came out of the airport and Dev took his mobile out and booked a cab, and went to Goa beach. And there a person was ready with a boat at the shore, Dev took Maya holding her hand to the boat, Maya was bit tensed, Dev and Maya got into the boat, boat went into the middle of the sea, and then it grew darker, Dev pressed a button the roof of the boat opened showing the beautiful sky, only the moon was the source which was giving light for them, then Dev thought that it was the perfect moment to propose Maya, and then Dev told Maya

Maya listen , I know you are very angry on me , and confused why I brought you here ,but for a moment forget all the anger and confusion, close your eyes,.. Maya when I thought to pick you up from the bus stop I did not have a bike, I borrowed it from my friend. When I thought of booking tickets to goa I didn’t have money, I borrowed it from Ria and the most important thing I lack to do this is courage, which Ria gave me and finally I did it. Till now I never asked bike, money and courage from any one but for the first I did it for you, the only thing which made me do this is a small word,  love which took me on hundred and forty nine hours to tell you that I LOVE YOU, and I don’t know after listening this whether you are going to slap me or scold me or reject me . It doesn’t matter because these things won’t stop my love.  If you really want to do it then don’t do these things , do the things which can stop my love but I bet even if you kill me I wont stop loving you….

(Maya slowly opens her eyes and tells)

Look Dev I have always dreamt of a person who cares a lot for me ,who can do everything for me, this is not only my dream, this the dream of every common girl . For most of the girls it just remains as a dream but in your words I can see the caring ,now you made me stand in a place where I can’t even imagine you did these things for me, this was my only dream and you made my dream come true .

Dev – Is that supposed to be a  yes or no????  Please tell it properly because  when it comes yes and no, all girls speak in a different manner.

Maya – You can’t even understand what am I trying to say…….you all boys are same . A girl is telling you clearly and you can’t understand and again blame us that we don’t speak properly.

Dev – OK sorry , But please Maya don’t play with me .  waiting please tell me……

Maya – OH God, Dev I love you too.

Then suddenly two rockets go up the sky and blasts and they hugged each other after spending some time came back to Hyderabad where Ria and Dev friends were waiting and then Dev walking from distance saw Ria and his friends where waiting he just showed his thumb finger to them that’s it , they started celebrating…………….

The next day , in the college Dev and Maya bunked all the classes and enjoyed each other’s company . They forgot the world with their newly born love . And then their love story continued there after with happiness . Dev felt happy , as he found a family at last .

Ria was a bit sad whenever she saw Dev and Maya together .  But she was happy , thinking that she is the reason for Dev happiness being in a relationship with Maya . Dev was always thankful to Ria but could not spend enough time with her , very immersed with his girl friend . Dev and Maya now started going to movies , restaurants ….. where Dev and Ria used to spend their time together , previously .

One evening when Dev dropped Maya at her hostel , she asked him ,

Maya – So when are you going to show me your family .

Dev – You have already seen it !!

Maya – No , when??? I don’t think so??

Dev – You have seen Ria , Harsha , Ram and Chandu right ? They are my only family .

Maya – Come on Dev , you were serious about that when you said that you were an orphan .

Dev – Yes Maya , it’s true I don’t have a family which you are thinking of … I have lost them in my childhood . The only family I have is Ria and my brothers Ram , Chandu and Harsha .

[Maya feels sad, looking down]

Dev – Hey now don’t feel sad . Go to you room and take rest .

Maya – No I am actually feeling sad because you did not mention my name in your family .

Dev – OH!!  Sorry honey…..

Then he hugs her .

Maya – Wait , Can I ask you something?

Dev – Ya honey ,of course .

Maya – Why do you always differentiate Ria and your friends ? Is Ria not your friend??

Dev smiles and replies

Dev – No , for me she is my bestie , but for her I am everything . She loves me a lot…..and that is why I care for her so much . And don’t feel jealous now…. You are first …and then every one else .

Maya – I know that …. OK bye .

Maya was still not satisfied with what Dev has replied , but she felt that may be she was becoming very much obsessed about her boy friend and was believing Dev she never minded his friendship with Ria .

After few hours , Maya got a call from Ram ,

Ram – Maya , don’t panic and first listen to me patiently .

Maya – OK!

Ram – After dropping you , Dev met with an accident , while coming back . He is OK now , but is admitted in a hospital near our college . Come immediately .

Maya – OK I am coming .

And she rushed to the hospital in a hurry and she slid from her scooty and fell down .

This way she reached the hospital in a much faster in an ambulance .

She reached the hospital and was admitted on the next bed to Dev .

She had sprained her ankle with some minor injuries , but Dev had several major bruises . They both were made to undergo several check – ups , and they thought that the doctors were just doing it for money . They had no other choice but to go for the tests , so they did it .

The doctor said that Dev had to go for Physio – therapy for few days and he would be all right , and Maya need not worry about her ankle and she would be fine within few days .He asked the both of them to wait outside his cabin and he would check the reports and talk to them.

Dev , Maya and everyone else were waiting outside when first Maya was called in . She was asked to take rest for several days , not to ride her bike ……and few other tips .

She came out and was said that they were wasting their money , and the doctor was telling everything she knew .

When she was speaking angrily to every one , Dev was called in . Chandu helped Dev in , and came out . While Maya was speaking with everyone , Dev came out after talking to the doctor .

Ria immediately ran to Dev and hugged him . She asked him about what the doctor had told him , and hugged him . Dev replied that the doctor did the same with him what he had done with Maya . Looking at this , Maya felt a bit uncomfortable .

They went home , took rest for a week . Maya had messaged Dev several times , but Dev didn’t reply . She thought of not disturbing him further .

After 1 week Maya was  eagerly waiting to see Dev and when she went to college , she saw Dev , but Dev was busy playing foot ball . When Maya went to him and said Hi ,  he just saw her and gave a casual reply .

This made her feel a bit sad but Maya was waiting for Dev to complete his game . She waited for a while , again called him . He asked her to wait in the canteen and he would meet her there . She sat at a table in canteen , where she met Ram . She told him about Dev’s unusual behaviour . Listening to it , Ram was a bit confused of why Dev was doing it . They both were talking for a while but Dev never showed up . Maya felt bad looking at her watch , and left for her class . Ram felt sorry for her and called Dev . His phone was switched off . He called Harsha and got to know that he was not with him .Ram decided to talk to Dev about thus that evening .

Maya went to the football field again , but this time Dev wasn’t there . She tried searching for him , but couldn’t find him . She decided that she could not attend any classes that day , and went back to her hostel .

That evening , Geetha came to Maya . Maya was somewhat surprised to see Ria’s friend there. Geetha told Maya

Geetha – Hey Maya , I know you are surprised seeing me here .But I am here to tell you something very important . Today , I have seen Dev and Ria and being very close in college . I have spoken to her about it today and she replied as if she and Dev were in a relationship . It may be hard for you to believe but …..

Maya – No , Dev would never do such a thing . He is my Dev .

Geetha – I expected this reply from you . Anyways take care .

Maya was disturbed hearing this , but still she could not believe it .

The next day , Maya went to Dev’s class and took him out . She thought of spending some time with him . Immediately Dev got a call from Ria , and went back to the class leaving Maya behind . Now , Maya couldn’t just bear it .

Another day , Maya got an offer letter from a software company and now she was appointed to California . Maya thought of not accepting this offer letter for Dev and decided to stay back . She wanted to tell this to Dev , but he was too busy with Ria .

From that day, Maya heard many rumors about both of them going to movies and restaurants and spending time together . Things were going down hill for her and she things have crossed the limit . She decided to go to Dev and talk to him , she couldn’t just believe him anymore .

Next day she went to the college and thought of talking to him in the morning but he was with Ria . She couldn’t get him alone to speak . Later that day , she found him and Ria kissing in an empty class room . She turned away and started running . Dev saw her and ran behind ger screaming ,

Dev – Listen to me Maya , give me a chance to explain . PLEASE !!!!

Maya – Get the hell out of here , and leave me now . I am already cheated enough , and please don’t try to cheat me more . I have heard what you have been doing since the past 10 days . Till this moment , I have believed you but now I pity myself for believing you .

She ran away to her room , crying . Geetha saw her crying and followed her . Inside the room , Maya explains everything to Geetha …..

Geetha – Why did you cut him off ? He was trying to say some thing right ? You should have listened to him .

Maya – No Geetha … I have done enough . I dont want even to see his face . You know how much I trusted him didn’t you ?

Geetha – Yes , but just give him one chance . Come now .

After all the conversation Maya and Geetha goes for Dev and finds him in a room where he and Ria were eating biryani …..seeing that

Maya – Look , I have told you, he is not even feeling bad, he is very happy with Ria .

Geetha – I don’t think so, lets go and ask him.… (holding Maya’s hand) come lets find out what’s happening?

Maya – (tears in her eyes and anger in her heart) No need of all such mess, let’s get out of here, I can’t see this any more..

After all these incidents Maya’s heart sank in sorrow and decided to accept the offer she got in California.

But after maya left to California, ria and dev were not seen together.

AFTER FEW DAYS

Harsha was angry on ria, as he thought that ria was responsible to breakup of dev and maya, so one day harsha went to ria,

Harsha – Are you happy now !!

Ria – What are you talking about?

Harsha – How selfish you are, how can you do that to dev, how much he believed you !!!

Ria – Please,.. tell me straight what you want to tell me.

Harsha – Because of you, maya and dev got divided.

Ria –  don’t speak as you wish, just know what had happended.

Harsha – tell me

Ria – Dev asked me to act as if we were in relation, that to only near maya and you people, I asked him why. But he replied not ask any question and  just to follow as he said.

Harsha – Why he would have done like this, come lets go to dev.

Harsha and ria goes to dev, there they find dev drinking alcohol…

Ria – Dev !

Dev – Why did you come here, I told you not to meet me again.

Ria – Dev, tell me why did you tell me act like that.

Dev – Ria, just leave me alone, go away.

Ria –  I am not going to go anywhere until I get to know the truth and if you don’t tell me,  I will call maya and tell her that you told me to act in front of her.

Dev – No don’t do that I’ll tell you ,actually when I met with an accident doctor did all the tests and he called me inside and he said that I have some  problem with my heart , a disease named Ischemic Heart Disease .  I cannot live for many days, there is no cure for it in India but there may be a chance in California, am not sure, but it will cost lots of money. I don’t have that much money, and it is sure that I am going to die in a few days, I don’t want to spoil maya’s life that is why I have left her so that she could live happily……

LISTENING TO THAT ria gets shocked…

                                          AFTER FEW MONTHS

Maya started training for her job and was totally busy with her life , but she could not forget Dev . Dev was still in her heart, but she keeps on trying to forget him , but fails to do that . As Geetha was with Maya in those days , she knew that Maya was being deeply hurt with Hus thoughts , but to the world she was trying to make the world presume that she had forgotten him . Geetha was always trying to make Maya happy ….. After few days , Maya cut her finger while she was cutting vegetables , a bit deeply , so she had to go for a tetanus injection . She immediately went to the hospital and after getting her work done , she saw Dev in a cabin with a name plate on it , written  Dr . JAMES , Cardiologist . She observed Dev fighting with the doctor about something . She couldn’t hear what they were talking but she came out of the hospital  trying not to meet Dev . She couldn’t control her emotions by seeing Dev and has gone to the beach and sits alone .

Geetha trying to console her friend had been doing her best .Since the time , Geetha had got to know that Ria had been cheating Maya , she had become really close to Maya .

After some time , they had seen Dev sitting on the sand close to the waster and had been drinking . He was actually crying . Now he has grown thick beard , and had been looking completely lost and depressed . Looking at him , Maya was burst into tears . She collapsed onto her knees , crying .

Geetha – Maya I know you are felling sad for him , but you don’t cry for him now . If you want to know what happened , control your emotions  and stand in front of him . He will tell you himself .

Maya – By seeing him , I just can’t control myself

Geetha – Come on Maya , you have to.

Maya – It’s better if I don’t  meet him.

Geetha – No , you have to go…… understand ?!

ON further compulsion from Geetha , finally Maya agrees to go to Dev , and silently stands in front of him .

Dev , ob seeing Maya becomes emotional and comes to hug her . But she just pushes him away from her .

Maya – You were happy with ria right ?Now why did you come here , and why are you crying and now why all this emotional drama upon seeing me .

Dev – Listen Maya , I just don’t know what to say but for sure , one day you will come to know everything , till then don’t ask me anything because i cannot tell you but one thing is true that i really love you Maya

maya looking into devs eyes she saw the love she saw some problem ..but she dont know what is it ,as maya controlling her emotions she could not stop it for long time immediately she hugged dev and geetha felt very happy seeing dev and maya together

maya-promise dev this time you are not going cheat me right??

Dev- no maya not at all….

slowly dev and maya started living to gether  dev used to drop maya in her office and he used to go to doctors maya dont know about that but he managed to do that..maya was very happy because she was seeing the love that dev was givving her which made her happy…….days passed on

One day Dev had dropped Maya to her office, and left. He went to Ria’s house . Then it was who sees them both meeting . Ria got on the car and they both left from there . Geetha had followed them both and had seen them enter into a hospital . She immediately called Maya , and asked her to come there and see them . Hearing this Maya was again frozen with anger . She asked Geetha to wait there for 15 minutes and she would come there herself . Geetha was still waiting for her when , Dev and Ria came out talking with a doctor . They both got into their car again and had left . Just after they had left , Maya came and searching for them got to know that they had left already .
Geetha – They left just now. You should have come a bit faster.
Maya – Oh God! You know where they had gone?
Geetha – I think they went to the place where I had seen Dev met Ria.
Maya – You know that place?
Geetha – Yes I do .
Maya – Then come let’s go immediately.
Maya and Geetha went to the place where Geetha had seen Dev pick up Ria . They slowly entered that house and through a glass door , peeped in to see what was happening . They saw Dev speaking to Ria about something angrily . Ria was trying to console him almost so close , as if they both were hugging each other. Maya enters in clapping her hands saying …
Maya – Dev really you are such a good actor , who has convinced me before so well , and now is hanging out with the same girl who cheated me . I agree , that it was completely my mistake to believe you again .
Dev – Maya just listen to me . Give me one chance to explain.
Maya – Oh , so you decided to come up with another story . But the problem is I’m not able to stop loving and I keep believing you , and every time you would cheat me . So I’m not going to listen to any excuses.
Dev – ( catching her hand ) You are misunderstanding us completely Maya . Didn’t I tell you that there was a small problem , and I can’t tell you that now ?
Maya – Leave me Dev , I still believe you and that is why I’m giving you one more chance . Promise me that you are not going to meet Ria again , and come with me .
Dev – Please don’t do this Maya .
Maya – I have to Dev. I have heard people speak about you roaming with your new girlfriend and what should I answer them . My friend has asked me many times , what should I tell her ? What should I tell myself? Now it is up to you to decide .
Maya and Geetha were leaving when Harsha came in . He too was shocked to see them both there .
He enters in looking at the sad expression on Dev’s and Ria’s face .
Ria – ( with tears rolling down her cheek ) Dev it us better for you to leave now and be with her . Don’t worry about us . Harsha and I will manage .
On saying this she rushes to her bedroom crying .
Harsha – Yes brother . Even I think it is better for you to go now . What Ria told was right .
So on listening to their words , Dev went to Maya , promised her as she wished for and started living with Maya . Even though Dev was a bit sad on doing this to Ria , he presumed to be happy and spend these last days with Maya .
There was another story running , the one between Harsha and Geetha . Ever since they met in California , they were dating . One day Harsha called her and asked her to come to the beach . He slapped her hard for spoiling the relation between Dev and Ria .
Harsha – Do you know what you have done?
Geetha – Harsha , as a friend u would be concerned about Maya , just as you would be about Dev. Dev had been cheating Maya and you support that ? He may be is your friend , but in this matter how can you support a cheater like Dev ?
Harsha – Stop calling him that . And don’t speak about him when you don’t know anything . Listen ….
From a distance, Dev comes to both of them. By seeing Dev, Geetha went running to him , kneels in front of him , saying
Geetha – Sorry Dev, I did not want to hurt you but I didn’t know the truth.
Dev – Stand up Geetha I can understand. You were being a good friend. How can that be bad?
Dev turning to Harsha and Geetha ,
Dev – Can you both do me a small favour.
Harsha – Yes tell us Dev. Me and my girlfriend are here to do anything for you.
Dev – You both have to leave for India right away.
Harsha – Brother, you are getting insane. How do you expect me to leave you and go back at this time. I can’t leave you.
Geetha – Even I cannot leave Maya.
Dev – But you both have to. Please. Take it as my last wish, at least.
Harsha and Geetha – No, Dev. Please, we can’t do this.
So on Dev’s request, they both had decided to leave.
Maya was shocked and confused, because Geetha told her that she had to attend some important work back in India, and she has to leave. So Dev and Maya had gonr to the air port, to bid their friends farewell. Dev went to both of them separately, their hands strongly with eyes full of tears, and said……..
Dev – Thank you for everything you have done for me. We may not meet again, so farewell guys, forever…
Harsha and Geetha – We love you Dev, take care of Maya.
They both leaves for Hyderabad, and from then, Dev decides to spend some time with Maya.
They started visiting places. Dev took best care of Maya, and Maya was never this happy in her life. One day Dev gets a notification that it was Ria’s birthday that day. He plans of meeting her, and prepares a biriyani for her. He packs her favorite gift and goes to her house. At the same time, Ria came to Maya’s house to meet Dev.
Maya – Come in.
Ria – Hi Maya, how are you?
Maya – Fine, without you.
Ria – [smiles] Is Dev in the house?
Maya – Why?
Ria – It’s my birthday today, so I got some sweets!
Maya – Oh!
Maya now recalls that on that morning when she asked Dev what was he preparing and for whom was he preparing for, he said “he was preparing biriyani for a special friend”
Dev reached Ria’s house, and on seeing the door locked, kept the biriyani near the door and called her.
Maya sees that Ria has got a call from Dev and she asks her to pick the call and keep it on speaker.
Ria – Hello, Dev.
Dev – Where are you?
Ria – I am in temple.
Dev – I have made biriyani for you, I thought we both could have it together, but you……… It’s Ok. No problem, we will have it the next time. Don’t forget to text me how it is.
Ria cuts the call…
Maya was now fuming to hear that and she literally shouted loud enough for the whole house to echo..
Maya – Why did you come into my life? Why? What have I done to you, that you are spoiling my life.
Ria – Please Maya, don’t misunderstand me. Yes, I love Dev. That’s true, but he doesn’t love me. He loves you.
Maya – Ria, if you really love Dev, if you really want to see him happy, then leave him.
Ria – (Smiles) Ok Maya, don’t worry. I will never come into your life again. I am sorry if I hurt you. Good bye Maya.
Ria left, and soon Dev came in. He was really happy to greet Ria, with a surprise. But he observes that Maya is a bit upset.
Dev – What has happened Maya? Why are you so dull?
Maya – Nothing, just saw an emotional movie on this phone.
Dev – Wow! What was that? Show me.
Dev’s face became pale as soon as he saw Ria’s mobile im Maya’s hand.
Dev – Did Ria come here?
Maya – Yes she did.
And tells everything that happened…
Listening to that Dev gets angry, slaps Maya hard and tells her…….
Dev – Maya, all these days we have been hiding things from you, and that is what which has led to everything that happened today. When I was admitted the hospital that day and the doctor spoke to me, I got to know that I was suffering from Ischemic Heart Disease. I didn’t want to tell you this so everything you have seen back at India was fake. Ria and I were never in a relationship as you thought. I told Ria about my problem and asked her to help me keep you out of this. From then she had taken the best care of me, and took me to the best doctors in the city. When I had all my check-ups done, I was surprised to find out that I was completely healthy and had no problem with my heart. That moment I was really worried because I had left you, hurt you, so badly for it and finally it proved to be fake. When I had gone to the doctor who confirmed that I had a disease, I came to know that it was not me but it was you who was suffering with it. Ria helped me and Harsha to come here and spoke to the doctors. The doctors said that the only solution was an ‘Heart Transplantation’. Ria and Harsha searched for day and night to find a heart to save your life. And now, after so much she has done for you, you treated her loke that.
Listening to that, Maya collapses to the ground with a pain in her heart. Immediately Dev appoints her in the hospital in which he and Ria were consulting. The doctors said “You don’t have much time. Make it as early as possible.” Then Dev goes in search of Ria, and couldn’t find her. Meanwhile the doctor received a message, and prepared for the operation.
Dev lost all his hopes and returned to the hospital, tensed, not knowing what to do. As he entered, he found Harsha. His friend who was supposed to be in India was sitting outside the Operation Theatre, crying. Dev runs to him. As soon as he approached him, the doctor came out from the Operation Theatre, and had congratulated Dev saying that the operation was a success and Maya is absolutely safe. On hearing this, Dev was stunned. He went inside the room to see Maya. He was really happy to see her alright.
He came out with this face glowing with happiness. He met the doctor and asked who had donated the heart. The doctor said even he didn’t know who it was, and it was Harsha who had brought that heart for Maya.
Dev went running to Harsha, and sees him crying. He asks him several questions like When did he come to California again, Why he was crying when they had to be happy?
In reply, Harsha gives him a letter that reads….
“By the time you are reading this letter, I am sure I wont be with you. But the thought of not being with you, is making it difficult for me to at least imagine about it, because I have always imagined my life with you. From the moment I fell in love with you, I’ve never had a dream without you. I dreamt us, being together , in love with each other. But it is going to remain as a dream, forever. I never had a chance, nor did I have the courage to express you this. But now, finally I got one chance and last chance I wouldn’t let this go. ‘I LOVE YOU’ , and I always will.
Maya, the one who hated me the most, I guess. But in that hate, I would see how much she loved you. I am happy that I found someone who loves you more than me, and decided to leave you in a better care…..and , Dev, I know I am the first person with whom you share everything, don’t worry, I will always be hearing you. Write a letter to me, throw it into the sky and wait for my reply. Because even you are the one of those few, who cares about me, even knowing that I won’t be around. I actually thought of finishing this up before, but some part of me did not allow me to….,but now it brings up tears in my eyes to end it, the last word I’m gonna say you……

On reading this tears rolled down Dev’s cheeks . He hugged Harsha and they both started crying when a nurse came and told them that Maya had got her conscious back , and they could see her . They both went in silently …..
Maya – Thank you Dev . It is because of you and Ria that I’m alive today . Can I meet Ria ? I regret behaving that harsh towards her without knowing the truth . I want to say her sorry . May be that is the best I can do . Will she meet me ?
Dev gives her the letter in his hands . After reading it , Maya started crying terribly .
Maya – She sacrificed her life for me ?? After all that I have done to her !!! How wrong was I about her ??? Why did you let her do this Dev . Why ?
She held his hand and hugged him…….
AT PRESENT…
Priya had both her eyes filled with tears . She too started crying and , it was then , when Dev had finished up his letter . He came to them and looking at Priya’s face , he asked Maya whether she had told the girl their story .
Maya – Yes Dev , I have told her everything .
Priya – Hello . Can I ask you some thing ?
Dev – Sure .
Priya – How did you control your tears ? Maya told me that you have stopped crying after you have read that letter . Just on hearing it happen , I could not control myself . And when the person who loved you the most has died , how could you control yourself??
Dev recollects all his memories with Ria , and slowly a tear appears in his eyes , and then it had started raining ….
Dev – This is why I had made my tears stay back . When she sees one drop in my eyes , this is how she cries . And I can’t bear it .

People are like waves in our life . They just keep coming and going , but never end . You wish for some waves to come, and some to never . But you don’t understand , why some waves come and go….

Dev throws the letter hard into the sky .
Dev and Maya were about to leave , when
Priya – Don’t you wait for the reply?
Dev – I know what the reply is…
Dev and maya leaves.
And then a piece of paper had fallen from some where in the sky , on which it was written …..
