This is only the beginning

Here I was, once again, huddled under a table, covering my ears. Woh woh woh! Let's rewind to the very beginning. Hi! My name is Paris Jennifer Jancens. I just go by either Paris, which is what my friends and parents call me, or PJ, which is what my 4 brothers and 3 sisters call me. My brothers names are Aaron, Cameron, Jackson, and Max. My sisters names are Jackie, Ella, and Blake. Blake, Jackie, and Aaron are triplets. So are Cameron, Jackson, and Max. Ella is the oldest. Then there's Blake, Jackie, then Aaron. And of corse Jackson, Max, and Cameron. Then there's the runt of the family, in other words, me. I'm the youngest of 8. But, it feels like four, because Ella, Blake, Jackie, and Aaron all graduated last year. But, much to their disappointment, they didn't make it far. They all got into a huge plane crash, as their plane took off.  Today, my family is going to the grave yard to see them. It's been exactly a month since they died. Mom and Dads marriage fell apart quickly after the incident. Dad became a work aholic, and when he was home, he would do one of two things. Hit us, or fight with mom. Then there was mom. She use to be the most optimistic person in the world. Now she sleeps all day, and gets up at night, but only to eat and pee. My siblings and I? We eventually learned how to hold our own. I keep getting told that I'm real mature for a 15 year old. Today, April 4th, is as well as my siblings death days, my birthday. I haven't celebrated since the incident. Whenever I get reminded that it's my birthday, I burst into tears. *SLAM* Oh no! Dads home. Cameron, Jackson, Max, and I all ran downstairs to see what we had to tolerate today. I could see the fear in moms eyes grow, as he approached her, raising a fist." STOP!!" I yelled." What?!" Dad said through gritted teeth. "I WONT LET YOU HURT ANYONE IN THIS FAMILY ANYMORE!" I yelled. He started approaching me. Every step he took forward, was one I took backwards. Suddenly, Cameron tackled dad." RUN PJ!! RUN NOW!!!" Cameron yelled, as he tried to hold dad back. I hid underneath the table. 'Here I am again' I thought to myself,' listening to people agrueing.'. Soon, Cameron's hand grabbed mine, and ripped me from the safetyness of the table, only to be dragged out the back door and into the woods. "Cameron, where are we going?" I asked." Away." Jackson weized out. "So we can be safe." Max breathed." What about mom?" I asked." Mom will be fine." Cameron replied, walking straight head of me now. I caught up to Cameron, and walked with him, with Jackson and Max right behind us. Suddenly, we heard screaming, and glass breaking. We ran to the sound, and watched what was happening. It was our neighbor, Mr. Angelic, hitting his son and daughter, Riley and Rosie." Let's go get them after their dad leaves." Cameron whispered, not wanting to get caught. We nodded our heads. We waited for almost an hour, until Mr. Angelic went to bed. We jumped the fence, and I picked the back door lock. We where careful not to make a sound, until we reached Riley and Rosie's rooms. Max and I went into Rosie's room, as Cameron and Jackson went into Riley's." Hey, we're here to get you outta here." Max whispered to Rosie. We met Cameron, Jackson, and Rliey in the woods. We made a run for it. We explained that our father was after us, and they just nodded. We boarded a bus, because we took 1,000 dollars from Mr. Angelic. "Where to?" The bus driver asked. "Somewhere far from here." Riley replied." That'll be $16.80, now pop a squat." The bus driver said, as soon as we put the money in. It was:

Me and Riley

Cameron and Max

Jackson and Rosie                                                    We all pretty much fell asleep until the bus driver woke us up. "Where are we?" Riley asked the bus driver." California. Now get off." The bus driver said coldly." Sheesh! Who blew out her birthday candles?" I sighed, as soon as the bus doors closed. Riley chuckled.

Here we are

"Where are we staying?" Max asked." There's a motel just down the rode that closes at 9:00. It's 8:54 wright now, but if we hurry, we should be able to make it in time." I replied." How do you know that just off the top of your head?" Cameron asked. "Same way you know the lines from Jarassic World backwards and forwards. I've been down here too many times." I explained, starting to run. We got there with a minute to spare." 3 rooms please." Cameron said, as we all gasped for air." That'll be 250. You kids got enough for that?" The old desk man asked. I counted up 260 outta the 985 we had left, and hit him with a couple of jacksons." Alright. Here are the keys." The man said, handing them to us." Ok, the rooms are:

Rosie and Paris in room 340

Cameron and Max in room 341

Jackson and I in room 342." Riley explained. Rosie and I grabbed our key, and headed to our room." I wonder if my dads looking for us." Rosie thought out loud." Homesick?" I asked." A little." Rosie responded." It'll be ok." I tried conforting her." How do you stay so strong?" Rosie asked in a soft voice." I never turn back." I replied, sitting next to her on the bed. I stripped down to my noodle strap and yoga pants, and took off my bra, put the extra close in the bathroom, and went to bed. Rosie was already asleep by the time I went to bed, and her soft snores rocked me into a deep slumber.

The next day:                                    I woke up to an empty bed. In panic, I nocked on the bathroom door. Rosie answered, after a second." Hey, we're meeting up with the boys in a few minutes to go get some food and clothes." Rosie explained, stepping out of the bathroom so I could get changed." I think I might try to look for a job." I said to Rosie, as I closed the door. When I stepped out, we linked arms, and went down to the lobby. Nobody was there when we got to the lobby, so we just sat on the couch and waited." Do you ever miss them?" Rosie asked about my dead siblings." Somtimes, but when I start to, I think of how happy they must be in heaven wright now." I sighed. Wright as I said that, the boys came in, laughing and joking around." You ready?" Cameron asked. Rosie and I both nodded." Ok, let's go." Max said, heading out the door. First, we went to the grocery store to buy food, and we spent 300 dollars of the 765 we had left. That ment that we only had 465 left for clothes. When we got to the mall, we each got $77.50. Rosie and I headed straight for H&M. I got a really cute dress, some shirts, some pants, some hats, some jewlery, and some shoes for $20 bucks. Rosie got two really cute dresses, some shirts, some shoes, and some hats for $23. I had $57.50 left, and Rosie had $54.50, so we decided to save the rest. I applied for a job at LUSH, and Rosie applied for one at Build a bear. We start tomorrow at 9:00. Rosie and I met up with the boys at the food court. I went over the Charley's and got a regular chicken California with lettuce and ranch, a large peach lemonade, and some bacon and cheese fries for $9.50. I sat at the table, eating, and talking to Riley. "Paris, thank you for saving me and my sister. I'm not sure if I could handle one more day at home." Riley said, taking a sip of his Coca-Cola. "No problem." I smiled.

A few months later:

Eventually, we saved up enough money for a small apartment. With me, Rosie, Max, Riley, and Cameron working, we where able to have money left for food and clothes. Jackson takes care of the house-hold stuff, like the laundry, or vacuuming the rooms. "Hi! Do you need any help finding anything?" I asked, as a customer walked in." Do you guys still have the watermelon bathbomb?" A familiar voice asked. I looked costly at her face. Mom. "Act like you don't know her." I thought to myself." Yes, in the back we have a huge table of different scented bathbombs." I replied, pointing to it. "Ok thank you!" Mom replied. In the afternoon:

"Hey, Paris, I'm going to go home. Is that ok?" My coworker Taylor asked." Oh yeah. Go ahead. I have to close up any way." I replied, logging off all the computers and turned them off. Then, I put the products that where out of place back where they belong. I locked the doors and walked to our apartment complex. I unlocked the front door, and walked in. As I set my stuff down, I realize I'm the only one home. That's weird. At least Jackson should be home. Jackson is probably at the store getting more food. I'll just go ahead and make dinner for all of us. I ended up making a fruit salad, mac and cheese, and hot dogs. By the time I got done cooking dinner, everyone got home safely, thankfully.
