I had enough of the outside world. I was sick of all of its paranoia and phobia for change, for feelings and sensations. The upcoming generation will be standing on blood and scrap metal if this went on. Devices once thought to be our key to glory and development have rendered us into an exact copy of the machines we've put our blood and tears in the making. My only way out was simple: Go back in time! And so I sat down, picked up a pen and a notebook and chose an empty page. As my pen's tip got closer to the paper, my surroundings started fading away. I was finally free from the chains i wrapped myself with. I was liberated from all of my duties and requirements, from prejudice and hatred and delivered from all social boundaries. I had finally traveled in time. As the breeze's flow in the dense and pristine woods, the ink formed its path on the fabric that has withstood the hurricane of change, drawing a series of images that only our imagination could decipher.
It was about a boy whose determination was a source of inspiration. However, his recent separation made him prone to depression ,tinting the sheets of paper on which his thoughts were registered, with a dash of red. His eyes would darken with every passing day, mirroring his soul. He would lock himself in a cage of cement as a last resort for isolation, letting nothing more than the light of his desk lamp on as his guide thru the infamous world of nightmares. When food was running, he would put on the mask of deception with wide open smiles and spotless skin and shiny teeth as if nothing ever happened. He would walk around the block saluting every person crossing his path, yet you could sense the dolefulness in his voice. He would walk into the grocery store with his head down, covering his face with a sombre textile. He would always buy the same four products: sugar, bread, tofu and lettuce. Never any meat or poultry or dairy products. His obsession with his vegan diet is not for the safety of the animals involved in the omnivorous diet, but for his uncanny worry for the different microbial presence in his food. He was young. He was strong. He used to wear a thong. He wrote poems and a song. He also plays ping pong. He travelled all over the globe. From LA to Hong Kong.He would go on collecting pieces of humanity's past. He is a persuasive gentleman if you came to meet him. His name was Robin. He was in the grocery store when it happened.
He was observant, unresponsive, amused, delighted, you could even see his teeth shine thru the shadow that was covering his face.
He stood there as she walked in with her red heels and her icy blue eyes. She went to the far side of the store to get some beers from the cooler. He started following her ominously while standing out of sight. His eyes started to turn red, so did his skin, his teeth turned into stone fangs, his hands came out of his pockets as he got closer and closer to the girl. She opened the cooler and saw a dark silhouette forming in the background. She picked up her beers, closed the cooler and walked away. As her eyes came in contact with the glowing deathstars, she froze in place. Her skin turned blue. She looked at him as if she already knew how this was going to end. He looked at her and whispered:
"You are the cause of my pain,
You are the source of my flame.
I was a man with both wits and fame,
Now you rendered me insane."
Tears started forming on her eyes. She replied:
"You were my salvation
you planted in me all of your devotion.
I thought only ice flowed thru my veins,
Your fiery nature was not to blame!
It was the feelings I sense when I hear your name!"
They both looked away. He whispered again: "Then you know that nature cannot group opposites of OUR kind!". She at him again as her tears flew into the air. She shouted with all her lungs' might: "But IT does! It makes us into one! It unites US! Don't YOU get it?Opposites DO attract! They combine and create NEW elements unlike ANY other!". He turned around, clinging his fist so heavily that you could hear his ligaments shattering. He said: " We are not like those pathetic beings living with the laws of physics and chemistry. WE are ancient beings forged from the world maker's rage to punish those who dared to challenge him. We are elemental beings. We are not flesh and blood. You must understand that elements can never join forces. We...Are...Opposites for a reason..." "And WHY...Is that?" She roared. " ...You know why..."," STOP using that excuse you c...cc...ccc...cccc...C..O..W..A..R..D!!! If love was truly there in that warm stone heart of yours then NO sacrifice is too big or too small!","This is not about the world maker's rules!" He yelled with rage. He lowered his head, turned his shady body towards her and tells her: " I care about you too much to see you disintegrate with me."
She said as she caressed his cheeks.
" I'll Love You Forever!"
He weeped as he started to kiss her hand.
They looked into each other's eyes one last time and kissed.
What I can recall was that it was the first time I had witnessed such a phenomena.
The boy turned into Fire,
The girl to Ice.
A huge burst of light blinded me,
Causing me to wake up.
It was the first time I felt like I finally had the chance to dream about nice things rather than all the dark monstrosities in my past...
It was that day...
The 1st of May...
That I finally believed in Love...
And that it is a gift from above.
