City of lurkers takes place in 2014, after Mason Kent barely escapes the Haunted Island, he then finds out the whole earth is effected, he must survive with friends, and even foes- and try and find a possible cure.

Mason & Nate run away from the lurkers

Mason: FREAKING RUN FASTER!!

Nate: MY LEGS! I CAN'T!

Mason: I'll carry you!

Nate: Are you crazy? You're not strong at all!

Nate stops

Nate: I.. Cant..

Pilot 1: Are you guys gonna get in or what? You need to hurry!

Mason grabs Nate and attempts to carry him to the helicopter

Mason: Err.. you're getting on it..

The lurkers are catching up

Mason: Ugh.. I can't.

Mason sets Nate down

Nate: Just go without me..

Mason: But I..

Nate: GO!

Lurkers are getting closer

Mason: DAMN YOU ZOMBIES!

Pilot 2: JUST GET IN!!

Mason runs and gets into the helicopter

The helicopter flys away from the island

Mason: Shit..

Pilot 2: What was with you back there?

Mason: He was my best friend! We survived together for like, a long time.

Pilot 2: Just be glad your saved now. My name is Koa, yours?

Mason: Mason. What's the other guys name?

Pilot 1: Me? Dolph.

Stranger: I'm Pete.

Mason: Nice to meet you all I guess..

Koa: So, what happened?

Mason: I tried surviving, and apparently succeeded. What does it look like?

Dolph: Oh.. I wouldn't say you.. uh.. succeeded.

Mason: What do you mean?

Koa: Well, the whole earth is pretty much infested now.

Mason: Wait.. what?

Pete: How the hell did that happen!?

Dolph: Scientists are trying to find a cure, they've been explaining this adress known as "2515", and noone's sure how it started.

Mason: Where are we going?

Dolph: Kansas City.

Mason: Wait, Kansas City!? That's where.. I lived.. with my parents.. Oh no.. I gotta find them..

Pete: Hate to break it to ya' bud, but.. you know.. 

Mason: They aren't dead! They were in the military! They can fight!

Pete: It's a maybe.

Koa: We'll help you find them, do you remember the address?

Mason responds sadly

Mason: No, i've been on this island for way too long.. Atleast it seems like it.

Dolph: Remember the year?

Mason: 2010? I think... Plane crash.

Pete: Damn, I got on the island not too long ago, 2013, remember that earthquake?

Mason: Sorta, mostly remember hearing this big boom during it too, never found out what it was.

Koa: Probably a grenade or something, I don't know.

Mason: How long is the ride?

Koa: 6-8 hours.

Pete: Damn.

Mason: Do I have enough time to sleep?

Koa: Yeah, go ahead.

Pete: I'll sleep too.

Mason and Pete fall asleep

6 Hours Later

The helicopter is landing on a small building

Koa: Mason, Pete, wake up, we've landed.

Mason and Pete wake up

Mason: Well, let's check it out..

Dolph: You don't need a splash of water, do you?

Mason: No, i'm good.

Dolph: Got weapons?

Mason: Nope.

Pete: I have a knife.

Koa: You guys are gonna need guns, with supressors. Luckily we've got one for each of you.

Koa gives Mason a pistol with a supressor

Dolph gives Pete a SMG with a supressor

Mason: Sweet, thanks.

Pete: Wanna trade, Mason?

Mason: Nah i'm good.

Koa: Now, you guy's know how to.. survive, right?

Mason: Of course, i've been on that island since 2010, I told you that, right?

Koa: What do we have to do first then?

Mason: ..food?

Koa: ..Sure, and other stuff like medicine. 

Pete: How come Dolph doesn't have a gun?

Dolph: I'm a skilled wrestler, I don't need no weapons.

Pete: Cool.

Koa: So, shall we look for supplies and food now?

Mason: Sure.

Koa: Sweet, but first, wait here..

Koa looks over the edge of the rooftop of the building, and uses his sniper rifle to look for anything

Dolph: See anything?

Koa: All clear, let me check the other sides.

Koa looks on each side, and see's 1 lurker on the left of the building

Koa: Theres only one lurker, should I shoot it?

Dolph: Go for it.

Koa shoots and kills the lurker

Koa: Looks clear now, let's check some houses for food.

The group walk down the steps, and walk torwards the first house located across the street

???: STOP!

Koa: Put your gun down.

???: Put yours away! This is my house!

Mason: Just put your gun down, those two saved us! And they are experienced.

???: What are your names?

Pete: Tell us yours first.

???: Mia Riley.

Koa: Koa, that's Dolph, the two we just rescued is Mason and Pete, now will you put your gun down?

Mia: I'll sho-

A lurker jumps onto Mia

Mia: AHH! HELP!

Mason shoots the lurker off

Koa: Yeah, want us to put them away now?

Mia: Fine, you win, anyway, welcome to my house, I guess.

Dolph: Or did you just claim it as yours.

Mia: No, i've been living here for SUCH a long time!

Mason: Not gonna say thanks?

Mia: For what?
Mason: I happen to be the one that shot that zombie off of you.

A stranger peeks out the door

?????: Hey?

Mia: Lilly, get back inside!

Lilly: But I wanna introduce myself.

Mason: Who is that?

Mia: I swear, she's safe, she's only 14!

Koa: Come outside Lilly

Mia: No, stay in!

Lilly walks out the door slowly

Lilly: H-hi..

Mia: I told you to sta-

Pete: Shush Mia!

Koa: Lilly, can you tell us about Mia?

Lilly: Well, she found me when I was just like a poor old stray kitty- Alone and curious, I-

Mia: You told me you had no problem about there being lurkers.

Mason: Lurkers?

Lilly: Thats what we call the zombies, anyways, yes Mia, I was brave, knew what I had to do by actually using my mind. I did what my.. Oh.. never..nevermind..

Koa: What?

Mia: She told me about her dad that passed away a long time ago on this island, what was his name again?

Lilly: I don't wanna say it. Brings back bad memories. Anyways, Mia found me when I was alone, and protected me in this house ever since. I think it was in 2013. I'm not sure.

Mason: I'm really curious to hearing your dads name though.

Koa: If she doesn't wanna say it she doesn't have to.

Lilly: Danny, Danny Upshur, literally the best dad ever, but he.. eventually got bit, and then there was Mom.. and my brother.. which.. Let me just say, aren't a.. You know.. Great combination..

Mia: Hey, you never told me about your mom and brother.. Whats the deal?

Lilly: My mom, Jayleen, and my brother, James.. well.. They..

Dolph: Ince-

Koa slaps Dolph

Koa: No.

Dolph: Heh, sorry.

Lilly: My mom killed my brother.

Mia: ..What!?

Mason: Oh.. Well.. Thats... All I need to know.

Lilly: And then there was this other which I don't want to speak of.. At all.

Mia: Anyways... Wanna explore my house? We have a good supply of stuff, but one of us has to stay awake at night to guard the place. Me and Lilly took turns every night, maybe you can give us both a break for a while?

Mason: Sure, let's go.

The group walk inside the house

Dolph: Woah.. This is actually really.. well, clean.. How'd you manage?

Mia: Theres a river nearby where we go fishing at sometimes too, and we just get water from there.

Koa: Nice.

Mia: So.. make yourselfs at home..

Mia sits on the couch, as the rest of the group except Lilly start exploring

Mia: Hey Mason, come here.

Mason: Alrighty.

Mia: Lilly, go upstairs and watch for lurkers.

Lilly: Okay.

Lilly heads upstairs

Mason sits next to Mia

Mason: This is about that rescue, huh?

Mia: Thanks. I mean it. But why couldn't anyone else in your small ass group do it?

Mason: I don't think they trust you. Anyway, can I know more about yourself?

Mia: Well, i'm 18, this is my hometown, mommy and daddy are an unconfirmed status..

Mason: I'm trying to find my parents too, sorta..

Mia: Dang, that sucks, tell me about you.

Mason: I'm 21, from here, and i'm really good at sports, basketball mainly.

Mia: Sweet! Nice to meet you, and, uh, sorry for being so rude back there.

Mason: Hey, it's okay.

Mia: Well, uh.. I gotta go check on Lilly. You best go check on your other guys too.

Mason: Alrighty.

Koa: Heard that conversation you two! Am I feelin a bit of some lovin?

Mia: I barely know the guy, hell no.

Mason: Yeah....

Koa: Haha, that's what they all say, anyway, Mason, come here, I gotta show you somethin.

Mason walks up to Koa, which is in the bathroom

Mason: The hell are we doing in a bathroom?

Koa: The toilet works, and it's super quiet! How have they done it!!

Mason: Uh.. that's.. good news?

Koa: As a hawaiian, I appear to be very happy that it works.

Mason: Yeah.. I'm gonna check on Dolph now..

Koa: Have fun with that!

Mason walks up to Dolph

Dolph: Hey.

Mason: Hi, how are you?

Dolph: Good. Just lookin out for the lurkers, as they call them..

Mason: How long have you known Koa for?

Dolph: For a while now, met him when I moved to Hawaii, in like, 2005. We both became pilots of rescue helicopters in 2007.

Mason: Were you neighbors?

Dolph: Yeah, we got a long surprisingly well, I like him. Glad you trust him aswell, not sure about that Mia girl though..

Mason: Do you trust her?

Dolph: She seems very fishy, Lilly's fine, just not Mia.

Mason: I feel bad about Lilly's father though.

Dolph: Shush, she can probably.. hear.. I don't think she likes being reminded, I tried asking her more about him but she was just.. quiet.

Mason: Huh. Well.. I'm gonna check on Pete now. 

Dolph: Alright.

Mason walks torwards Pete, but Lilly walks in front of him

Lilly: What were you talking about?

Mason: He just told me a bit about how your quiet about your dad, don't worry, I won't.. Well, I'll try not to talk about it in front of you.

Lilly: Thanks, but me and him were just.. really clo-

Mason: Don't talk about it.

Lilly: Alrighty.

Mia: Lilly! Didn't I tell you to watch the windows?

Lilly: Dolph told me he'd watch it.

Mia: Oh, okay, you're new job is to.. well, you can relax, you deserve it.

Lilly: Thanks.

Lilly runs downstairs and relaxes on the couch

Mia: What were you doing?
Mason: I was just going to go talk to Pete but sh-

Mia: Alright.

Mia walks away

Mason: ..Huh.

Mason walks torwards Pete

Pete: Hey Mason, I see you've went through a lot just to talk to me. Must be important.

Mason: I just wanna get to know you more.

Pete: Well, I'm 34, lived in Chicago, worked at a bank for a few years, had a wife, but she... died in the plane crash..

Mason: Oh, i'm sorry..

Pete: She was a jerk anyway.

Mason: Oh.

Mia: Who?

Pete: My wife, died in a plane crash when I was on the plane headed to.. that haunted island.

Mia: Oh.

Mason: Hey Pete, wanna head outsi-

Door knocks

Mia: Shoot, must be new people..

Koa: I'll answer it.

Mason: Careful Koa.

Koa slowly opens up the door

???: Uh.. Hey..

Lilly: Who are you?

???: Me and him are safe. We are from this place called "Josh and Justins Diner", ever heard of it?

Koa: No, what's that?

???: Our diner... you know, we still have food there, we are visiting houses seeing if anyones alive in there and asking them if they wanna visit.

Lilly: That's pretty dumb, you don't go around randomly asking around stra-.. Stra-...

Lilly stares at one of the strangers

???: ..Sup.

Koa: You don't go around asking strangers stuff, you'll eventually end up in a house with crazy people that eat anyone in there path.

???: Oh, sorry. I guess we'll go then.

Lilly: NO! Stay!

???: Why is she staring at me?

Lilly: What's your name?

???: Justin..

???: I'm sure she meant me! i'm Josh.

Lilly: No, I meant Justin.

Justin: Uhuh.. Uh, Josh, should we stay?

Mia: SURE COME ON IN!

Mason: So you just let random people in?

Koa: They seem nice anyway.

Mason: Alrighty then.

Lilly: Hey Justin, come sit on the couch with me.

Justin: Sure..?

Lilly and Justin sit on the couch

Mia: So, while Lilly and Justin get.. uh.. busy, I guess, who wants to walk with me around the block and kill some lurkers?

Mason: I'll go.

Dolph runs downstairs

Dolph: I can beat them up!

Mia: That all?

Koa: Yeah, i'll stay here and guard with Pete.

Mia: Alright, let's go.

Mia, Mason, and Dolph head on out and start walking

Mason: So where'd you get the word lurkers from?

Mia: I told you, Lilly told me earlier to say lurkers instead of zombies to honor her favorite people, she told me about this girl named Chloe that.. shot her eye out, thats why she looks pirate-ish.

Mason: Holy shi-

Dolph: I'd like to know everything about her, she's pretty suspicious at times too.

Mia: She told me literally everything about her old group, I remember a few of there names, Chris, Paul, Nick, Joe, Omid, Mark, and Jelane. Though she didn't tell me much about Jelane.. Except that she.. Said things.

Mason: What about you Mia? Do you have any.. Old friends?

Mia: I have this ex named Marcus, he was a dick. I don't remember much, i've been alone with Lilly for a while.

Dolph: Can you fly helicopters, by any chance?

Mia: ..No, I.. Can't..

Mason: Zom- I mean, Lurker, over there!

Mia: Alright, who wants to get the kill.

Mason: I got the last one, it's one of you guys' turns.

Dolph: I'll sneak attack it.

Dolph sneaks into an alley way, and goes around a building and ends up behind the lurker

Mia: Yeah.. Get it!

Dolph kicks the lurker to his feet and crushes its head, then runs back to Mia and Mason

Mason: Nice!

Dolph: Kick the knees to make it fall, if you're ever out of ammo.

Mia: Pfft, everyone knows that..

Mia, Dolph, and Mason continue walking

-At the House-

Koa: Hey Pete, doesn't Josh seem.. weird to you?

Pete: I heard that conversation, yeah he's pretty funny, I like him.

Koa: Just wanted your opinion about him.

Koa walks back downstairs

Josh: Top 3 reasons why Lilly loves Justin?! #1, she goes #2, and #3, she does!

Justin: Alrighty then.

Lilly: I don't love him, he's just.. Pretty cute.

Josh: 3 reasons why Justin is cute, #1, he isn't, #2, he isn't, and #3, Lilly loves him.

Lilly: Have I ever told you, you remind me of this one guy from my old group back on this island?

Josh: No, tell me about him!

Koa: Is he dead?
Lilly: I think..

Josh: I'm dead!? NOO!

Lilly: His name was Omid, me and him were like, best buds. We found him in a cave as a lurker after he disappeared in this fog storm..

Justin: Dang, i'm sorry.

Lilly: It's okay.

Koa: Hey Josh, can I speak to you for a moment?

Josh: No.

Koa: It's important..

Josh: No.

Justin: Go talk to him, Josh.

Josh: Yeaahhhno.

Lilly: I'll kiss you.

Josh and Koa head into the room Pete is in

Josh: Hey, before you ask, I just act like this to have fun, trying to be happy in an apocalypse is hard.

Koa: Oh, that is what I needed to know. You can go back!

Josh: Alrighty!

Dolph: Lurker, over there.

Mia: I'll get it!

Mia runs up to the lurker, but before she could get there a stranger shoots it

Mia: Hey! That was my kill!

???: Oh, sorry, guess you aren't, y'know, fast enough!

Mason: Where'd you find that supressor?

???: My boyfriend gave it to me.

???: Sup.

Dolph: Where do you come from?

???: We were walking for quite a while, looking for people, suppose you guys are lost too? I'm Tangee by the way, my boyfriend is Travis.

Mia: We have a house that has a ton of people in it already, I don't think it can fit anym-

Travis: Hey, you gotta let us in.

Mason: Dolph, you're the expert, should we trust them?

Dolph: She has a gun, her boyfriend doesn't so sure.

Mia: Doesn't matter, i'm not bringing her in.

Tangee: I'm sorry for stealing your kill, okay?

Mia: Fine, you can come. 

Mason: Let's head back now..

The group head back to the house

Koa: What's taking them so long?

Pete: I dunno, maybe something happened..

Koa: Oh shit, please no, I can't lose Dolph..

Josh: Hey, is that them?

The group is walking torwards the house

Koa: Oh thank goodness.

Pete: Are those two other people they are bringing?

Koa: Of course, more people..

Josh: I can always leave if you guys want.

The group walk into the house

Mason: We are back.. With two new people.

Koa heads downstairs

Koa: Alright, who are  you two?

Tangee: I'm Tangee, and this is my boyfriend, Travis.

Koa: Just wonderful, more people..

Dolph: It's okay Koa, they are safe.

Lilly: Hey Mason, I think you and Mia will be a very good boyfriend and girlfriend.

Mia: Shush.

Mason: Nah, she's.. too.. Uh.. Weird.

Mia: Yeah, he's too weird for me too.

Justin: Help..

Lilly: You're staying with me!

Justin: Damnit! SHE HAS ME TRAPPED IN HER DAMN CUDDLE!

Mia: She likes cuddling, so have fun.

Mason: Haha..

Josh: Whats for dinner?

Mia: Cold pizza.

Mason: Is it good?

Mia: Yeah.

Mia: I tried it, not sick, so it's good.

The group sit at the table, as Mia serves them pizza

Tangee: This reminds me of Josh and Justin's Diner Pizza..

Tangee: What is?

Justin: I'm Justin, he's Josh, we are the owners of that place.

Tangee: Woah, cool! I always ate at your place before.. this happened.

Travis: That was where me and Tangee's first date was at, back in 2006. Good ol' times.

Tangee: Hey you guys, you never told me your names.

Mason: I'm Mason, this is Mia, thats Lilly, Koa, Dolph, and Pete.

Tangee: Pete you cutey, come eat!

Pete: No.

Koa: Why don't you want to eat?

Pete: No.

Koa: I helped you from that island, I deserve to kow why you aren't eating.

Pete: I don't know, I just don't wanna eat, i'm not hungry.

Mason: Don't force him Koa.

Dolph: So.. Everythings going fine so far.

Mia: It's only your guys' first day, we often get random lurker attacks every now and then. Just wait til' night, lots of gunfire.

Mason: Enough to keep us up all night?

Mia: They are faint, but hearable.

Koa: Fantastic, so anyone can come in and kill us all?

Mia: Nah, the door is locked with special stuff.

Lilly: Heh.

Mia: Lilly can sometimes be a slut too, as seen there.

Lilly: Sorry.

Justin: Uhuh..

Pete: Guys..

Koa: What?

Pete: Theres.. a problem..

Mia: What is it?

Pete: I don't know, I just don't feel that great.

Travis: Hey, i'm a doctor, I can help.

Travis runs up to Pete

Travis: What are you feeling?

Pete: Random vibrations in my stomache.

Travis: ..That's your stomache growling.

Pete: No no no, i'm not stupid, it doesn't feel like my stomache growling, it's like an actual vibration..

Travis: Take a rest, maybe it'll stop when you wake up.

Pete: Alright..

Pete slowly walks upstairs and heads in the bed

Mason: Damnit. I just met the guy..

Mia: I think I had that feeling before too. And don't even think about it, Lilly.

Lilly: Heh..

Mia: I just had to rest, and it was gone in like, an hour, so it should be fine.

Travis: Alright. Let's continue eating..

Someone knocks

Mason: Don't answer it.

????: I can hear you assholes.

Koa grabs his gun and walks to the door

Mason: Koa.. 

Koa opens up the door and shoots the stranger in the head

Lilly: AHH!

Mia: KOA!!

Travis: DUDE!

Koa: Do what you can to survive, someone calls you an asshole that hasn't even been seen? Shoot him. Tip number freakin two, i'm not risking it.

Koa heads outside and throws the strangers body across the street

Mason: Damnit.

Dolph: It's true. Not everyone can be trusted.. LIKE ME!

Dolph tickles Mason

Mason: AHA! STOP!! 

Mia: Someone gets killed, and you start tickling, smart.

Dolph stops

Dolph: Heh, sorry.

Koa heads back in

Koa: There, taken care of.

Mia: Damnit, please don't kill people in my house.

Travis: I'm gonna go watch on Pete.

Tangee: Thanks for being so nice to these people Travis.

Travis: Hey, anything for them- I just want EVERYONE to survive.. But I know that won't happen. But I gotta make us survive for as long as possible! We will find that cure that everyones looking for.

Lilly: Yeah!

Mason: 2515 is the address, right?

Travis: Yeah, but noone knows where it's at.

Mia: We will find the cure, don't worry.

Tangee: Even if it kills most of us, i'm sure Mason would do it, even if he knew he'd die from it, but it'd save all of us. Atleast thats what I guess is gonna happen.

Mason: It's obviously going to be insanely disgusting drinking medicine, or a really painful needle.

Koa: Those sound very pleasent.

Mia: Hey, it's turning night, shall we go to sleep?

Mason: Yeah, it's been a long day.

Dolph: I'll keep guard.

Mia: Alright. let's go.

The group head to bed for the night

Mason looks around

Mason walks around and looks for the group

Mason: Pete?.. Mia?.. Koa?..

Lilly: They went out.

Mason: Oh, hey, where?

Lilly: Looking for food in Josh and Justins diner.
Mason: Wonderful. What have you been doing?

Lilly: Just sitting here.

Mason: How long have they been gone for?

Lilly: Seems like 30 minutes.

Mason: Do you know how far J&Js diner is from here?
Lilly: Not far at all.. If they are safe they should be back any second now.

-J&Js Diner-

Koa: Alright, now we can leave.

???: Stop. Put your hands up!

Dolph: The hell are you doing!?

???: Give me the food, or someone dies.

Mia: We aren't giving you the food.

Justin: It's my diner, it's officially MY food, now get the hell out of here.

???: I NEED THE DAMN FOOD FOR MY FAMILY! THEY ARE GONNA STARVE TO DEATH!!

Travis: Someone just shoot hi- Oh right, we DON'T HAVE OUR GUNS..

Koa: WAIT! Show us your family.
???: How can I trust you?

Mia: How can we believe you?

The stranger points his gun at Mia

Pete: Hey hey hey hey, we'll give you the damn food, just be-

Koa: Are you crazy?!

Mia puts her hands up and lays down

Dolph: The hell are you doing?

Mia: Rape me, do whatever you want with me, if that's what you'd rather want other than killing me or stealing our food..

???: I'd rather not, is this where you guys live?

Josh: No, we live at this house with the address of-

Koa: SHUT UP!

Justin covers Joshs mouth

Josh mumbles

Josh: Two twee fo won

Pete: YOU'RE AN IDIOT!

???: Two three four one? I'll go there, and give it a bit of a surprise. Wink wink.

The stranger leaves

Koa: Damnit Josh!

Josh: What!?

Koa: Are you an idiot!?

Josh: No' I'm Josh!

Justin: He was from this insane asylum.

Josh: What!? No I wasn't!

Koa: We can't have him with us, we need to get rid of him someday.

Mia: Damnit, it was Joshs fault we got stuck in this place anyway, if he wasn't dumb enough to go on that weak ass roof and play on it we wouldn't be stuck!

Koa: We really need to.. wait.. Mason!

Mia: ..LILLY!

Lilly: Something's wrong, they shouldn't be taking this long.. Should we go check on them?

Mason: Yeah, i'm pretty worried..

Lilly: Alright, let's go.

Lilly and Mason grab there guns and head torwards Josh and Justins diner

???: Hey, where you guys coming from? Need help?

Mason: Uh, no, is it your buisiness?

???: I asked you a damn question, you don't act that way! Do you, by any chance, happen to be apart of that group thats stuck in that diner?

Lilly: Wait.. What!!?

Mason: Stuck!?

???: Answer my damn question.

Lilly: Are they all okay?

???: Yes, so you know them?

Mason: Yeah.. What's your name, by the way?

???: You'll find out later, I have a gift for you all.

Lilly? A gift? What.. What kind of gift?

???: You'll find out later, it is completely immune to the story of your stuck group! See ya'.

The stranger walks away

Mason: No, he's not getting away..

Lilly: We have to save Mia!.. And the others!

Mason: ER, FINE.

Lilly: You don't wanna save them?

Mason: I do, but.. That guy was suspicious..

Lilly: Hey, don't worry about it, we need to save them..

Mason: Alright, let's just go.

Lilly: Alright.. If you want you can hold my ha-

Mason: No thanks.

Lilly: Alrighty then..

Mason and Lilly continue walking torwards the destroyed diner

Mason: So are we just gonna be staying here for however long?

Justin walks torwards Dolan

Dolan: Well, uh.. Thanks for the food, I shall go now.

Mason: Nah, you can stay.

Koa: Stay if you want, noones died yet except this one guy that burnt our old location down.
