May The Gods Be Warned

Men may seek the good to tame their disorderliness,

yet it is the beaten that bring a spark to their unruliness.

Let it be known,

if the sun should blind us men on our search for purity,

the gods have been warned,

we were destined to burn.

For we as individuals feel no envy towards the vastness of the sky,

or the stars which fill its nightly lungs,

not even their hallowed light,

could bring divinity to our immoral hearts.

Hallowed Judgement

Would thou judge me?

Deceiver of men.

Could mine eyes be raised to a heavens light and be thought an honest being?

Could it not be argued that there are no honest beings?

Whether mortal or contrary, we are but makers of our own hideous design.
