I want to thank you for your interest in my writing. There are few things in this life that have brought me as immense pleasure as the process of writing. This book was written through a time of severe adversity in my life - a time wherein I needed to let my mind wander to brighter, more wide open spaces. I set no expectations for this project other than to go with the flow, even if it led me to strange or bizarre places. This project took me deep into the mindset of characters with whom were grieving as deeply as I was. It took me into the mindset of characters as confused I was. This project explored mysteries I've been contemplating most of my life. Furthermore, this book took me to a landscape within myself where I recognized hope once again. A landscape that reminded me of my strength and celebrated my creativity. I suppose that's what the best of our projects do for us. I invite you to read the first chapter here, entitled: 'Peaches'. This story explores the end of all time through the eyes of a lovelorn teenage girl by the name of Gemma. I see Gemma in all of us, and it is through her development that I was called to remember that while life is impermanent, this is exactly what makes it extraordinary and mysteriously captivating. My hope is that you will recognize some of the substance to what makes you human in the essence of Gemma and her story.
