The Spiral Downwards

Kate is living in a dream. She has her dream job of  being a zoo keeper, a good family, and a lover. But then Kate got a call from work. 'The Zoo is closing' is all they had to say. It broke Kate's heart. But Kate was strong, she decided to find a new job. She found a job  at Orana Park. But she would      have to move to New Zealand. That would mean leaving everything behind. Her lover, her family, her pets. It would break her heart into pieces to leave them, but it would break her heart even more to not work at a zoo. Kate decided that she would ask her lover for an opinion. They told her to go where her heart takes her. Kate's heart took her to Orana Park. But she wanted to bring everything, her house her lover, her good family. But it was either a career or a family. Kate was leaning towards the career side. Kate asked her sister. 'Do what your heart desires' she told her. Kate wasn't so sure though. Kate's lover had told her the same thing. But a new life in New Zealand wouldn't be that bad would it? Kate's heart was pounding as she drove home from her sisters. Her head was spinning like a spinning top. Kate asked everyone she knew. They all told her 'Do what your heart desires' or 'go where your heart takes you'. Then Kate decided to talk to someone that could give her the right advice. Someone that had made that choice. Her friend Bonnie. Kate asked Bonnie to Skype. Bonnie agreed. The next day Kate opened her laptop and Skyped Bonnie. Bonnies pretty face appeared on the screen.'Hi Kate!' Said Bonnie happily. 'Hi uhh. . any advice for choosing between career and family?' Kate asked. Bonnie looked a bit shocked but said 'So you've ended up in that situation' 'Obviously' said Kate, feeling that that was all she could say. 'I know everyone has told you to do this, but it's the best way, Go where you're heart takes you' said Bonnie. Kate was shocked and angry, but did her best not to show it. 'I know how you feel like right now' said Bonnie. 'But it's the best way'.Kate didn't say anything. It was the right way, Bonnie was right.'Im going with what you said' she said. 'Okay, Bye!' Said Bonnie waving as she clicked off. Kate got her suitcase, opened it and started packing. 'New Zealand here I come' thought Kate as she packed up her things. At first Kate didn't know how to tell her lover, but it was what her lover had told her, so it seemed fair. Kate's lover agreed with her, and told her it was right. Kate's family also agreed with her. Kate got a ticket to New Zealand, and two weeks later set off for NZ. The wind was fierce as she landed in Christchurch. Kate went straight to the flat she had bought herself. But it didn't feel right. Kate wanted to be free, and in a little flat was not free. So Kate started to search for a house near the airport. She found a house she was fond of, and bought it. The house was close to Orana Park, which was convenient. Macleans Island was close, so Kate often went biking there. She always passed th same man, which she talked to often. Kate's Job was good, and her pets were aloud in so that was good. Kate kept in touch with her family and her lover, of whom was now her friend. Kate was dating a man from Christchurch called Brooklyn. Kate got herself a good life like before, and could now see Bonnie in person. But then Kate and Brooklyns relationship crumbled to pieces. Kate was heartbroken. But her old lover told her to keep her head up and hope. Then the man on the bike track asked her on a date! Kate was so pleased, she said yes immediately. The mans name was William Moor. He was nice and caring. So Kate had her happy life back.
