The Garage

It was 6:27 AM. My time to wake up and go to Griddle High School. To me, a prison. Hell for teenagers. But to my knowledge, there are known areas where I can hang out and talk to Mina. My trustworthy, loyal friend who would listen to me every time I say something. She had been spending less time with me since she got a new friend, Kandra. She always laughs at everything. I had once taken her phone and found out she had a secret blog. It was hilarious. It was all about 'walks' with her dog Nevel and her trips to 'Wales'. She was the open one, I'm anti-social and photogenic. If Mina or Kandra tries to get a picture with me its the most embarrassing moment ever.

I need to shut up about Kandra and Mina, they make me feel sick as it is. I guess I'm just getting ahead of myself. I opened up my bedroom door, made my toast and ate it with no hesitation. I had left my bag in my dads garage...for gods sake! Now I have to go in that mess. I would do anything to get my dad to get rid of that. It curves in at the sides and spiders crawl onto your feet and shoulders and you just feel held captive. Anyways, I had to do it because my Macbook was in my bag.

I shoved and slid my way through the old, rusty car parts and tools my dad abandoned for no particular reason. I heard a cough. One of the faint coughs you make when your in the middle of a test and you don't want to disturb anyone. "Hello, God is that you?" I asked, in one of my manly voices.

"River? Is that you?"

"Who are you" I asked, not that scared of anything - except for the dead flys caught up in spider webs.

"Your sister. I got locked up in here..."

"Okay, I'll let you out ASAP, Kylie," I smile, picking my bag up at the same time.

She had one leg stuck under a car wheel and the other leg stuck under a car door. God, she must be in a state. I'll get her to the hospital after my 6 hour day at Griddles.
