Era #1: Past (1882-2022); Dan the Lion

#1: From Crime to Prime

Dangerous Dan, the first and most evasive criminal in the Wild West, as of 1882, gets captured by Marshal Shadwick right as he starts thinking about reforming his ways. Due to a freak accident, he attains the abilities of a lion and is also granted the capability of healing himself to the point of evading death. He promises the Lord in heaven that he will indeed change his ways, and gradually becomes the hero Dan the Lion. A colleague, whom he learns betrayed him, rallies his old gang of criminals on a quest to become the new Dangerous Dan. After an ensuing conflict, involving the destruction of property, and the death of friends, even Marshal Shadwick, Dan the Lion ultimately defeats Dangerous Dan, ensuring his status as a reformed criminal.

#2: Bad Bones Bernard

A few weeks after Dan’s final battle with his evil criminal replacement, a new threat reveals itself to him. The sentient creature Bad Bones Bernard, who was created as a result of a scientific test, has returned after being blown to bits by Dangerous Dan. His inhuman mission is to take revenge on everyone involved, even at length, humanity. He starts by picking off the dead criminal’s thugs one by one (however, he ends up having mercy on Sam the Clam, and Jed the Ted, who turn out to be useful henchmen, with some extra help). Then he makes an attempt on the lives of Dan the Lion and his friends. In the end Dan is forced to kill for the first time, his only consolation being that Bad Bones was not quite human. Also, the ten Indians are henchmen of Bad Bones Bernard, and show there expertise in a fight on a moving train. In addition, little known to Dan the Lion, No-Head Nelson, helps by sniping the Indians from a clifftop. Before this grand battle, Dan receives training from a Chinese Circus Master, named Cong Chang (which means ‘very intelligent and thriving’ in Chinese), who also happens to be adept at kung fu.

#3: The Insectians

Shortly after Bad Bones’ death, Dan confronts the origin of his powers in the form of ten mutated Indians. Each one has their own bug-like abilities and they are all capable of healing faster than normal humans, but none of them can actually avoid death in the same way as Dan the Lion. However, some of them are capable of releasing poisonous toxins which slow Dan’s healing factor. As soon as they realize that he is the only thing in the way of their reclaiming the Wild West from the cowboys, they do all in their power to eliminate him. Discovering that they were bad at farming, and had a focus on hunting the likes of which even their fellow Indian tribes objected to, the townsfolk realize that more than their ancestor’s settlements and rampages caused this outbreak. At the conclusion of Dan’s toughest battle, he renews his fervor for stopping crime, and begins to expand upon his efforts. This is also the first time he reconciles with his foe(s) in some way.

#4: High Time Travel

It has now been five years since the accident that gave Dan the Lion his powers, and he has more than earned the trust of his fellow Westerners. Almost every criminal, petty and cruel alike, has been locked up or otherwise dealt with. Some of them have not yet surfaced however. Approximately two hundred years in the future, a very influential business man, who discourages the over-development of weapons to help maintain world peace, is murdered. Men from a thousand years after that, give the murderer, Mitro Andre, a visit, and attain his permission to visit his great grand uncle, Muhammad Andre, and assist him in ensuring the dead business man’s ancestor’s death. The ordeal leads Mitro, the future men, and Dandy Lion (a man from the present who fights for good and has similar powers to Dan the Lion) to the past to find Muhammad. The Lions must team up to defend the new victim and save the day.

#5: The Headless Rivals

It is now 1889, one year since Dan was set free of his sentence four years ahead of time. Dan the Lion has settled down and started a family. A year prior he made Mrs. Shadwick his bride. The Denning’s were very much enjoying the well-earned year of peace and quiet, until they met No-Head Nelson. Embarrassed by the fact that he no longer had a head, Nelson asked Dan, famous for his turn-around, how to deal with it. It turns out that Nelson is a former Union soldier from the Civil War and he has a Confederate enemy, Belly-Faced Bill. Bill is headless as well, but instead of being granted a sixth sense, like Nelson, he was given a face on his torso. On his own, this man would not be much trouble, but he has gathered a pack of followers through fear. The West is at risk of turning toward crime again, and it will take both Dan and Nelson to stop it.

#6: Son of Dan

Belly-Faced Bill has been defeated, and again crime has gone down significantly. 11 years have passed. Dan has a ten year old son, whom his step children have been a very good influence too. Nelson has become one of Dan’s best friends and made a good godfather for the young David Denning. Up to this point little David’s school has gone exceptionally well. He has not received his father’s abilities (but will grow to pass them on to Claws, with a couple modifications). The trouble is that Matricus Andre and his father Muhammad are up to no good. The Andres are no longer looking to kill Mr. Rumblittle, but they are the last known criminals still at large. The thing is Matricus has never been caught, and goes to the same school as David. He teases David with the truth of his ‘work’ with his father, but no-one ever believes David when he reports it. In secret, the Andre’s have worked on revolutionary weapons and are ready to unleash them on the nearest town and beyond. Both Dan and Nelson will have to fight it off, and like a loyal son, David tags along too.

#7: The Final Crime: Part 1

Seemingly out of nowhere, Sam the Clam returns and quickly gains followers, due to his new and mysterious abilities. Because of his bullet-proof shell casing, he proves difficult to defeat. However, with persistence Nelson and Dan take him down. When they do however he just laughs, and after they lock him up, he reveals that the crime’s not over.

#8: The Final Crime: Part 2

Next, as though out of the blue, Jed the Ted makes an appearance. He is now a fierce cactus-bear, and not one to be taken lightly. His followers do not dare even laugh at him. The battle with this beast is even more brutal, but nothing that Dan the Lion cannot handle. In the meantime, Nelson keeps the hero’s family safe and sound. After securing this creature behind bars he again lets out a vile laugh, and reveals that yet at least one more criminal remains at large.

#9: The Final Crime: Part 3

Introducing Werewolf Wilson! This man, who can become a wolf at any time in the night, ends up being the closest anyone will ever get to a true rival for Dan the Lion. He is also the only man with enough foul guts to actually break into Dan’s home, and in the process kill No-Head Nelson. Thankfully, David, now 12, was able to hide his family securely in the house's basement. Dan the Lion finally defeats Werewolf Wilson after a gruesome encounter filled with teeth, claws, and growls. Yet again, this man merely let out a laugh, but this time mysteriously added, “Crime Over!”

#10: The Death of Dan

Time has rolled by and it is now the year 1922, twenty years since Nelson’s death. The three most recently captured criminals are mere weeks from finishing their sentences, in response to their good behavior. Even so, all these years a plot was brewing. Along with everyone else, these deranged crooks were privileged to see David grow, and start his own family. He and his wife Marcella (Matricus’ sister, who was tired of her father’s foul schemes) have a son, whom they nicknamed Claws for his unique abilities, not unlike his grandfather. Dan the Lion and his wife were on their way to visit the new family, as soon as the terrible criminals were safely transported back to a secluded valley in the mountains with several acres and farm. When the Dennings arrive they find the house destroyed and the young couple dead. Most grievous of all, there was no baby to be found. All that remained were some claw marks and giant footprints. In Dan’s paranoia he blames the very same criminals that he had just released and goes after them. First he pays a visit to Crawshell the Fixer for some help. Together the pair set out on their most trying quest yet. They do indeed find and defeat the crooks, but realize all too late that they were not the real problem. Instead, much to their surprise a Giant Goblin Warrior reveals itself as the one who planned it all, and thereupon put Daniel into his final battle. Both Dan and the old man do not make it out alive, but Pure Angel appears to determine the foul creature’s fate.

Logo Man

#1: From Clanhood, to Manhood

In Logo Man’s first appearance he is a teenage boy learning martial arts from a corrupt clan that uses human sacrifice to attain earthly power in the year 1884. He always finds an excuse to remain an onlooker, and never actually participates in the sacrifices. A week after he completed his training, the clan leader, the Sacrificer, strongly compels him to participate and lays his first victim on the altar. The victim was the man’s own daughter Sacrifica, for whom he noticed the lad had taken a liking. Loby Lohan, as he was known at the time, refused to do it and even fought his way out and brought the victim with him. He is graciously thanked for his efforts and the two run off to safety. The two of them find a cave that they use as their safe haven, and eventually make a costume for Loby so that he can become the Logo Man. As the two of them begin infiltrating the clan’s cultic temples and fighting off other criminals, the Sacrificer uses a sacrifice to create Callistwhip. The man is a tough-skinned, muscular, whip wielding brute. When all other attempts at securing the temples are used up, Callistwhip is sent in to finish off Logo Man and Sacrifica. However, the pair’s love and determination is too much for the big guy, and they do infiltrate the main temple.

#2: From Manhood, to Fatherhood

Twenty years have passed since the evil clan was dealt with. Loby and Sacrifica have been married for fifteen of those years and already have a fourteen year old daughter Lindy. Lindy learned how to be a martial artist faster than her father and received his permission to join him in his battles as Logo Girl. At this point Sacrifica takes care of their home, the much improved cave, which now has a library and personal training center, in addition to all of the other homely necessities. Loby was in the middle of writing a letter to his long lost sister Lauren Lohan (now Mrs. Denning), when there is knock on the front door. He opens it up to reveal the Sacrificer! The whole family is shocked. Without waiting for a greeting the now 50 year old man explains how he has reformed his clan and that the Lohan’s, especially his traitor daughter should keep their distance and not interfere. Then in a puff of smoke he vanishes. Loby quickly finished his letter and had it sent to his sister immediately. Shortly afterward, the Logo pair suit up and head out in search of the new temple.

#3: Underground Operations

After an extensive search the Logo pair finally find the new temple. It was cleverly hidden underground for the safety of the reunited clan. The new guards are exhaustively trained and it takes Logo Man and Logo Girl awhile to get past them. Eventually, they resort to stealth and sneak attacks. They get mere inches away from the Sacrificer’s throne, when a wall of ice suddenly blocks their passage. Soon they discover that it was generated from an elite guard known as the Ice Ninja. He escapes their presence and leads them into the grasp of his companion the Fire Ninja. It quickly turns into a two on two duke out which sends the Logo pair back home through a mysterious elemental portal.

#4: The Return to the Temple

After gathering together some high-gadgets that are way ahead of their time, both of them set out on a second journey to defeat the ninjas and set things right. The Sacrificer saw them coming through a dark magic orb and doubled the number of guards, as well as the number of lit torches so there would be no sneaking around. Nevertheless, the heroes pull through and make again to the throne room. It turns out to be entirely surrounded by ice walls and tall fires. Then the ninjas appear again before them. A little while later they are brought to their knees and forced to let the heroes into the throne room. Once inside, the pair discover that the Sacrificer has escaped down a secret passageway leading into a winding and dangerous tunnel.

#5: Into the Tunnel

Cautiously, the two heroes enter into the tunnel ready for anything. That is, except what they found. The Sacrificer was at the other end of a vast chasm lined with spikes with a bat infested ceiling above. It takes all of the heroes’ cunning to get to the other side, and once there they immediately enter into a grueling battle with the Sacrificer. Evenually they corner him in a crevise and with a poof of smoke he disappears. Moments later he reappears in a bright blue form. He used the sacrifice of his followers to become the Static Sacrificer! After a second fight the Logo pair get split up by the Static Sacrificer, and Logo Man is defeated. Logo Girl escapes with her father’s body and reaches home after trapping her opponent in a diamond ball. Once home, her and her mother encounter the Pure Angel and he reveals to them that it is the Lord’s will to preserve the soul of Loby Lohan for future service on earth.
