About the Early Release Chapters
So ordinarily I write these novels in a fell swoop over the course of a month as part of National Novel Writing Month or Camp NaNoWriMo. But we can't tame the muse, and this one started to arrive a bit early. Rather than keep all the fun to myself, I thought I'd go ahead and share the chapters here as a preview of things to come.
So I did up until NaNo started in November, then I pulled them down while I wrote the book. I've put them back up so you can compare and contrast if you like. I will post a few more in early December that are essentially outtakes -- early chapters that didn't make it into the book ... well, haven't yet. There's always revision ;-)
Hope you like 'em.

Introduction
NOTE: This is an early draft of the introduction.
Hello there, gentle readers! It’s me again, your humble Narrator, and do I have a story for you. It’s about the very essence of what makes us who we are, what it means to lose it, and how we can hope to reclaim it.
It comes with a few caveats.
First is that you may find it, at times, a bit confusing. This isn’t an excuse to be sloppy on my part. It’s that the story focuses on confusion to some extent and since much of our understanding comes from our ability to identify who and what we think we are and when, as these elements shift around, disorientation is bound to follow. So, again as I have before, I ask for your trust and to just go with it. All will make sense in time … well, most things will. I might leave some things ambiguous. I’m tricky that way.
Second is that there will be clues. I always drop you some clues along the way – even if it’s hard to spot them as such. So as the world starts to tilt, look for clues about who I am and about what’s actually happening. This will be important in the second part of the book.
Third and last is that I will finally reveal my identity … well, I’m going to give you a name anyhow. Don’t get too giddy about this one, though. It will probably be a bit anticlimactic, especially if you’ve been making certain presumptions all along. But still – it’s a big step for me to share that much with you.
Enjoy The Thieves of All That You Are! Like it, star it – whatever in the hell your particular reader has to indicate that you approve of it, then buy a bunch of copies and give them to your friends. Or not. Just do whatever you like and have fun reading.
Sincerely,
Yours Truly
