INTRODUCTION

This is an inspired tale about Michael the archangel. Whether divinely inspired or not, it is a project close to my heart. As a Catholic and a Christian who believes in God and has many convictions, I also believe in angels and out of all the angels, Michael the archangel has captured my imagination far more than the others. Maybe because he fights the devil in the great battle written of in the book of Revelation. Michael is mentioned five times in the Bible. First in the book of Daniel where he is spoken of as the great Prince who stands watch over God’s people. He is mentioned three times in Daniel. Then he is mentioned in the book of Jude where he contends with the devil and then of course he is finally mentioned in the book of Revelation where he battles the devil in heaven. One must ask, what these encounters with the devil had done to the great Prince who stands guard over the kingdom of heaven and what an angel he must have been for God to put him in charge of the heavenly militia. However, Michael the archangel inspired me to write this story of love, triumph and tragedy. Tragic in a sense of the phycological effect it must of had on Michael. He must have experienced a taste of hell being that he had these encounters with Satan and his angels. It is also a love story. Michael, after hearing some devastating news does eventually leave the kingdom of heaven to find who he truly is and during some soul searching, he finds Ariel in whom he finds love, comfort and everything he needs emotionally, physically and spiritually. Not to give away the story, Michael then finds himself in a very dangerous place where he is captured by demons. He is then encountered by God in spirit and he flies away in a profound state of grace. After saving others, he then takes Ariel to the kingdom of heaven where she meets God in all of His glory. God then takes Michael under His wing. He then puts Michael in charge of the heavenly militia giving him his own cohort along side the angel Gabriel who befriends Michael. Michael then is in charge of the heavenly militia and becomes Prince of the heavenly host. God then prepares him for the attack of the devil and Michael trains his angels to fight the devil and his angels in the final fight for the kingdom of heaven. It is a story love, tragedy and triumph as the angels of God worship before the throne night and day and Michael the archangel stands watch over God’s people. This is the story of Michael the archangel…

CHAPTER 1

As she ran through the gates of the kingdom of heaven, her golden blonde hair was soaked in blood. She was screaming as she ran, flapping her enormous white wings. Her long sheer white gown was drenched with blood also. As angels looked on, she ran as her bloody foot prints trailed behind her on the sparkling white stones of the street.

“Help! Help! Oh, God, help me!” she cried as she approached the throne and there He was in all His glory sitting upon His throne. The hair of His head and beard was long and white and in His hand He held a scroll containing all that ever was and all that ever will be. She fell in front of the throne sobbing as the One who was seated on it rose to His feet and slowly walked down the steps and in His compassion He bent down and touched her beautiful angelic face. Suddenly she stopped crying and looked up at Him who lives forever and ever and touched His hand.

“Heavenly Father, help me,” said the angel as she looked up at Him pitifully. He then rose to His feet and gazed at the angels who were worshipping at the throne.

“Gabriel, what has happened to her?” He asked. With that, the angel Gabriel who was dressed in dazzling white fell before Him with enormous white wings and golden blonde curly hair.

“She was raped by a dragon, my Lord,” said the angel. Then the good Lord looked down upon her who was sobbing and full of blood as a tear fell from His all seeing eye.

“Take her. Clean her wounds and see that she gets the best of care,” said God.

“Yes, my Lord,” said Gabriel as the rest of the seraphim helped her to her feet and took her away. Then the God that lives forever and ever sat back on His throne with His massive arm guarding the scroll as the nine angelic choir of angels sang hymns. He then put His hand over His eyes.

“How could this happen, Gabriel? Haven’t I put my best angels at the gates to guard it? Is the kingdom of heaven not even safe?”

“She was outside the gates, my Lord,” said Gabriel as he stood in the presence of God.

“What was she doing outside the gates? It is too dangerous for a seraphim to go beyond the gates,” said the Lord.

“She heard of an exotic flower that grows in Macadaria. So she went and picked one. That’s when she was attacked by the dragon,” said Gabriel.

“Macadaria? It is filled with demons and unclean spirits. Whatever possessed her to go there? Foolish girl! Gabriel, see to it that no angel go beyond the gates. Get me, Lucifer,” said God.

“Yes, my Lord,” said Gabriel. Lucifer was the morning star. He was also the light barer in command of the nine angelic choir of angels. Sometime later, Lucifer approached the throne of God with his angels behind him. He was dressed in brilliant armor and wore a red skirt. His hair was blonde and spiked on the top and he held his helmet in his hand with his sword at his side. He then knelt before the throne and God spoke.

“Lucifer, thou art the bright and shining morning star. Commander of the nine angelic choir of angels. Thou art my strongest angel. Rise,” said the Lord and Lucifer rose to his feet.

“Have you heard what happened, morning star?” the Lord asked.

“I’ve heard,” said Lucifer boldly.

“See to it that the archangels are stationed at the gates. Fifty at the east gate, fifty at the west gate, fifty at the north gate and fifty at the south gate,” said the Lord.

“Are we at war, Lord?” Lucifer asked.

“Yes. War is your specialty isn’t it, oh star of the morning?” the Lord asked. With that, Lucifer smirked.

“Go,” said God and Lucifer bowed his head and walked away.

As Lucifer stood in the midst of the archangels who were all in brilliant armor with swords at their sides, he cried out.

“We are at war! As you know, I am in command! I am the bright and shining morning star…ordained by God!” cried out Lucifer as the army of archangels cheered and roared. Then he continued.

“It is my duty to protect the kingdom of heaven! We must guard the gates! Bartleby, take fifty of your angels and guard the east gate! Seth, take fifty of your angels and guard the west! Uriel, take fifty and guard the north gate and I will take fifty of my angels and guard the south gate!” cried out Lucifer.

“Why the south?” asked one of his angels.

“Because they will be coming from Macadaria,” said Lucifer.

“Macadaria?” the angel asked.

“Yes! Macadaria is in the south, you idiot!” cried out Lucifer. Then Lucifer raised his sword in the midst of them.

“Praise be to God!” cried out Lucifer as the army of archangels roared.

As the multitude of angels cheered, the throne room was peaceful as the God who lives forever and ever sat on His throne in all His glory as choirs of angels chanted and sang hymns to Him.

“He is a great leader,” said Gabriel who stood in the presence of God.

“Yes. He is too great. Too great for his own good,” said the Lord. With that, Gabriel looked at Him puzzled.

The kingdom of heaven was now safe under Lucifer’s watch and God was pleased. One morning Gabriel approached the throne and knelt before it.

“Permission to speak, my Lord?” said Gabriel.

“You have my permission,” said God as He sat up on His throne with the scroll tucked behind His massive arm. Gabriel rose to his feet.

“The angel who was raped by the dragon…she is with child,” said Gabriel as God sighed. Then there was silence as God looked as if He was in deep thought.

“See that she gets the best of care until the child is born and when the child is born…we will see then,” said God as Gabriel bowed his head and walked away. As he walked away, God spoke.

“Gabriel!” said God and Gabriel stopped and turned around.

“Keep this between us,” said God.

“Yes. Of course,” said Gabriel.

“No one has to know. It’s for the well being of the mother,” said God.

“Yes, my Lord,” said Gabriel and he walked away.

That night as the angel who was with child laid in her bed accompanied by the angels who cared for her was screaming in her sleep. She was having nightmares of the dragon chasing her. She then opened her pale blue eyes which were welled up with tears and one of the angels sat by her side on the bed and held her hand.

“It’s alright. It’s alright,” said the angel. The angel who was laying down with child was gasping for air.

“I saw it! I saw it! He’s coming! He’s coming!” cried the angel who was with child.

“Who’s coming?” the angel asked holding her hand.

“The dragon! The huge red dragon! He’s coming! He wants to take my baby!” cried the angel with child who was laying down in white satin. With that, the angel Gabriel stormed in the room and stood over her.

“What’s wrong with her?” Gabriel asked. The angel who was sitting on the edge of the bed holding her hand looked up at him.

“She had a nightmare,” said the angel. With that, the angel who was laying on the bed who was with child cried hysterically.

“The dragon! The dragon! He’s coming! He wants my baby!” she cried as Gabriel and the angel who was holding her hand looked at each other. Gabriel then looked down on her who was hysterical and touched her head.

“Not to worry. We have all the entrances blocked off. Nothing is getting in,” said Gabriel. She cried.

“But I saw it! I saw it! It wants my baby!” cried the angel who was with child.

“Hush now. It was only a dream. You’re in good hands,” said Gabriel.

Gabriel walked into the throne room where God was seated on His throne in all His glory. Gabriel then approached the throne.

“She is hysterical. She’s had a nightmare. She says the dragon is coming to take her child,” said Gabriel.

“Poor girl. She’s traumatized after what she’s been through. See that she is heavily guarded,” said God.

“Will the dragon be coming?” Gabriel asked.

“If word gets out that she is with child the dragon will most definitely pursue her,” said God.

“To kill the child?” Gabriel asked.

“Yes,” said God. Gabriel then put guards at the door of her room and she reacted very violently as she tried to get up off the bed. Two angels had to hold her down holding her arms as she fought them and cried.

“You can’t stop it! It’s coming! You can’t stop it, I tell you! He’s too strong! He’s too strong!” cried the angel who was in bed and with child as she tried to free her arms from the tight grips of the angels. She was kicking and screaming. Gabriel watched with his arms folded. Gabriel then turned to the guard.

“See to it that no one enters this room besides the seraphim,” said Gabriel. The guard then put his fist to his heart.

Gabriel then stood in the presence of God who was seated on his throne in all His glory.

“Lord, what is happening to her,” Gabriel asked.

“She has a demon. The dragon infected her with his spirit,” said God plainly.

“The child will have a demon then. Lord, this child will be evil. He is the son of a dragon,” said Gabriel.

“The child is innocent. He has no control over who and what he is,” said God.

“Lord, may I make a suggestion?” Gabriel asked. The Lord nodded.

“We will take care of the mother but when the child is born we must cast him out,” said Gabriel.

“No. The child will be born here in the kingdom of heaven. We’ll see to it that he is taken care of and gets a good education and when he is old enough to make his own decisions we will let him decide his own destiny,” said the Lord. Gabriel then bowed his head.

“As you wish, heavenly Father,” said Gabriel.

CHAPTER 2

Months went by and it was time for the angel to give birth. She was laying in bed in a pool of blood and there was an angel on her right and an angel on her left and another angel was at the foot of the bed waiting to deliver the child as she pushed breathing heavily. The angel on her right held her hand as she was giving birth.

“Push! Push! I see the head,” said the angel who was at the foot of the bed waiting to deliver the child. As she pushed the angel on her right comforted her holding her hand.

“You’re doing great! Almost there,” said the angel as she gave one final push and suddenly there was a cry. The baby was crying as he came out and the angel which was at the foot of the bed took the child.

“It’s a boy,” said the angel as she smiled.

“Is he…is he…?” cried the mother.

“He is perfect,” said the angel who was holding him. She then handed him over to the mother who was laying in the bed. She took him in her arms. He had small white wings and she smiled as the baby cooed.

“A cherub. My little prince. I shall call him, Michael for he is one who is like God,” said the mother with a heavenly smile and she closed her eyes slowly and she died. One of the angels took the child as another angel sat by her side and put her hand on her head. She then turned to the others as a tear fell from her eye.

“She’s dead,” said the angel. The other angels wept. Gabriel was outside the room as the angel who delivered the child went to him.

“Is everything alright?” Gabriel asked. The angel looked at him sadly.

“The baby is fine. It’s a boy,” said the angel with a sad smile.

“What’s wrong?” Gabriel asked.

“She died. We did all we could,” said the angel. Gabriel then looked up as a tear fell from his eye and took a deep breath then he walked into the throne room where God sat on His throne in all His glory. Gabriel then approached the throne.

“She’s dead,” said Gabriel. God then closed His eyes as a tear fell down His holy face.

“Yes. I know,” said God as He guarded the scroll with His massive arm. Gabriel stood there in shock shaking his head.

“Why did she have to die?” Gabriel asked.

“Everything dies, Gabriel. Death is only a part of life but her spirit will go on. When a flower blooms it is brilliant. It’s peddles are colorful, it’s stem is long and green but no matter how strong the root, eventually the flower withers away and eventually dies. That was her. She was a beautiful flower for a time and her root was strong. She was good and she was innocent but when the brutal winds blew and the storm came, her delicate peddles couldn’t withstand the storm and she withered away and died but she didn’t die for nothing for a child is born unto us. A son is given and he shall be great in the eyes of men and of angels! Demons will fear him. Hell will tremble at the mention of his name for he shall be a mighty angel,” said the Lord.

“Great? Mighty? Forgive me, Lord but you speak of him like he’s the messiah. Lord, he’s the son of a dragon,” said Gabriel.

“And that is why he shall be great! He will be strong. Do not forget, Gabriel. His mother was a seraphim. An angel. Let’s not detest that he is half angel,” said the Lord.

“But he has the dragon’s blood in him. He is evil,” said Gabriel.

“Only half. Bring the child to me,” said God. Gabriel then sent for the angel who delivered the child and she brought him before the Lord. The angel smiled and presented the child before God. The Lord smiled kindly as she handed him the child. As the Lord held him in His massive arms, He smiled.

“What is His name?” the Lord asked as He held the child in His massive arms. The angel smiled kindly.

“His name is Michael,” said the angel as God looked at her and smiled. Then God looked at the child which was in His arms.

“Michael, you shall be destined for the rise and fall of many in the kingdom of heaven. You shall be as a sign of contradiction and the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed but a sword will pierce thine own heart,” said the Lord as He held up the child’s tiny hand.

“I shall put a sword in this hand and with it you will crush the enemies of the most high!” said the Lord as the angels who looked on were astonished and marveled at His words. The Lord handed the child back to the angel who delivered him as Gabriel approached the throne standing on the right side of God. As the angel walked away with the child, God knew Gabriel’s thoughts.

“What is on your mind, Gabriel?” God asked.

“Nothing. It’s just that…” said Gabriel as God cut him off.

“You do not understand,” said God.

“No, Lord. Make me understand,” said Gabriel. Then God took the scroll which was beside him on the throne and opened it to almost the very end and read.

“It is written: Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the Abyss, holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete.” said God as He closed the scroll.

“And this is about Michael?” Gabriel asked. God nodded.

“It is Michael who will defeat Satan,” said God proudly. Gabriel then put his head down still in disbelief.

“You do not believe,” said God.

“I know that you know all things, Lord and what you say is true. It’s just that he is still the son of a dragon,”

“It takes one to know one,” said the Lord and Gabriel looked at Him puzzled.

Michael grew and waxed strong and enjoyed the fruits of the kingdom of heaven as angels would sing in the morning playing harps. He was put with other young angels but they never entered the throne room. They were being trained to serve the Lord. He learned to read and write. He even learned the way of the sword as he was also being trained for battle. God ordered that he’d be in an elite group of young angels like him who would one day guard the kingdom of heaven by being archangels themselves. Michael grew to be beautiful with long black hair and dark eyes. He didn’t look like the other angels who were fare with blonde hair and blue eyes and because of this he sometimes was treated harshly by the other boys who were angels themselves. One day he was in the mess hall and he was on line holding a bowl as an angel served the first on line with a big spoon taking the food from a large pot and pouring the soup in the bowls. They were all boys. They were separated from the girls. As Michael was on line waiting to be served another boy who was also an angel on line standing behind him tried to get his attention.

“Psst. Hey! Hey, kid!” said the angel as Michael turned around and looked at him. They were both holding empty bowls. The angel was fare with short lite brown hair.

“What?” said Michael.

“You’re training to be an archangel, aren’t you?” the boy asked.

“Uh, yeah. Elite group of special forces, You?” said Michael.

“I’m studying medicine. I’d rather heal than hurt,” said the angel as they were getting closer to the front of the line.

“I’m not hurting anybody. We’re training to protect and guard the kingdom of heaven,” said Michael.

“Did you always wanna be an archangel?” the boy asked.

“Well no. But that’s where He put me,” said Michael.

“Who? Oh. The Big Man. Have you ever seen Him?” the boy asked.

“Uh no. Have you?” Michael asked.

“No. But some day…” said the boy in a dream like state.

“Some day, what?” asked Michael.

“Some day I’m gonna serve at the foot of the throne. You’ll see,” said the boy. At that, Michael turned around with his bowl in his hands.

“That’s your dream?” Michael asked.

“Oh yes! What’s your’s?” the boy asked. Then Michael thought for a moment.

“I don’t know,” said Michael.

“You don’t know? You have to know. Everybody has a dream. It’s our dreams that keep us alive,” said the boy.

“What’s your name?” Michael asked.

“Raphael. And your’s?” asked the boy.

“I’m Michael,” he said as he put his hand out and Raphael shook it.

As they sat down to eat at the long table with the other boys, Raphael sat across from Michael as they continued talking.

“I’m gonna heal the sick, I’m gonna be a light to those in darkness, I’m even gonna cast out demons! The Lord loves that! And one day…one day I’m gonna serve the Lord at the foot of the throne! You’ll see,” said Raphael as he was eating. Michael just looked at him. He didn’t even touch his food as another angel came and sat next to Michael.

“Are you gonna eat that?” he asked. Michael looked down at his food and shook his head.

“No,” said Michael as the angel took the bowl and poured the brown soup over Michael’s head. They all laughed except Raphael as Michael just sat there with his head and hair drenched in soup. Michael was the kinda kid that when the other kids played, he’d sit by himself without a friend in the world and Raphael felt sorry for him. As Michael was at the well outside of the mess hall, he was rinsing the soup out of his hair when the angel who delivered him approached him.

“Michael?” she said as Michael lifted his head from the water to look at her.

“Yeah?” said Michael.

“Are you alright? Are the other angels giving you a hard time?” she asked.

“No,” said Michael.

“Because if they are, you could tell me,” she said.

“Who are you?” Michael asked as she smiled kindly.

“I am Sarah. I was a friend of your mother’s,” she said. Michael looked at her puzzled.

“Mother? I don’t have a mother,” said Michael. She then smiled sadly.

“You did have a mother. She was…she was a good woman. I knew her well,” said the angel.

“Then why haven’t I seen her or heard from her?” Michael asked. She then put her head down in sadness.

“She died, Michael. She died when you were born but her spirit is with you. Love never dies, Michael,” said the angel.

“Love?” Michael asked.

“Yes, love!” she said as her smile widened.

“Is it love that put a sword in my hand?” Michael asked as he stood there with his long black hair dripping wet. She then walked towards him.

“It is God that put a sword in your hand!” said Sarah.

“God?” Michael asked.

“Yes. God!” said Sarah.

“God doesn’t care about me,” said Michael.

“He does,” said Sarah as she touched his hand. Michael then looked to the east towards the throne room.

“Have you ever seen Him?” Michael asked. She then turned her back on him in sadness.

“I’ve seen Him,” she said. He then walked around her to look at her face and she was crying.

“Then why are you so sad?” said Michael as she looked towards the throne room.

“I’m not sad,” said Sarah.

“Then why the tears?” Michael asked.

“They are tears of joy,” said Sarah.

Sarah then entered the throne room and approached the throne where God sat in all His glory. Gabriel was standing next to Him. God was washing His hands as an angel held a bowl in front of Him. The angel then handed God a towel and God dried His hands.

“Well…” said God.

“He is…” said Sarah.

“What?” God asked.

“He is…a very strange young man and quite sad,” said Sarah.

“He is troubled,” said God.

“Yes,” said Sarah. God and Gabriel both looked at each other.

“What do you propose we do, Sarah? What will be best for him?” God asked.

“Pull him from his training that I might teach him of the fullness and beauty of the kingdom of heaven. He is a good young man,” said Sarah.

“How do you know?” Gabriel asked.

“His eyes. I see it in his eyes,” said Sarah. God then looked at her and smiled.

“You like him,” said God.

“Oh, I like him very much, Lord. He is a good kid. Just mis guided. Archangel training is brutal. I don’t think it is the best place for him to be,” said Sarah.

“Then what do you think I should do with him?” God asked.

“Give him to me. I will teach him,” said Sarah.

“Forgive me for interrupting, Lord but he might be…” said Gabriel as God cut him off.

“He is not dangerous,” said God.

“Oh no. He is quite pleasant. He is a very soft spoken young man,” said Sarah.

“Then take him. Teach him of the beauty and fullness of the kingdom of heaven. His archangelic training is at an end,” said God.

“Thank you, Lord,” said the angel, Sarah as she bowed her head.

“Gabriel!” said God. Gabriel then stood in front of Him who was seated on the throne.

“Yes, Lord,” said Gabriel.

“Go to the training camp and pull Michael out. He is in training at the east gate,” said God. Gabriel then bowed.

“Yes, Lord,” said Gabriel.

At the east gate, two hundred angels were standing at attention with their armor on and swords at their sides. As they stood in the field, Lucifer was shouting in front of them standing high up on what was like a stage.

“Your mission is to serve God! To live for Him! To die for Him! You must protect and guard the kingdom of heaven with your very lives!” shouted Lucifer. Michael was listening and standing at attention. He was standing with the boys of his elite unit about three rows back when Gabriel walked up on the stage. When the archangels in training saw Gabriel, they all gasped. Michael turned to the archangel next to him and whispered.

“Who is that?” Michael asked. The boy next to him turned to Michael who was on his right.

“That’s Gabriel. He stands in the presence of God,” said the archangel.

“What’s he doing here?” Michael asked.

“I don’t know,” said the archangel. As Gabriel stood upon the stage he whispered in Lucifer’s ear. Lucifer then walked to the front of the stage and shouted.

“Michael the archangel! Come forth!” cried out Lucifer as the boys in Michael’s unit all looked at him.

“He’s looking for you, Mike,” said the boy who was standing next to him. Michael was puzzled.

“Me? Why me?” Michael asked as the boy whispered loudly and nudged him with his shoulder.

“Go!” said the boy as Michael went forth. As he walked to the stage all the archangels looked at him. As Michael approached the stage, he just looked up at Lucifer and Gabriel who were standing up on the stage. Gabriel looked down at him and smiled.

“Are you Michael?” Gabriel asked.

Michael didn’t say anything. He just looked up at Gabriel with a puzzled look. Lucifer got mad.

“Are you dumb? Speak!” said Lucifer.

“Yeah. Yeah I am Michael,” said Michael.

“Go. You’re dismissed,” said Lucifer. Michael just looked up at him and Gabriel smiled and put his hand out.

“Come,” said Gabriel with a kind smile. Michael hesitated and Gabriel’s smile widened.

“Come,” said Gabriel.

“Where?” Michael asked.

“Come and see,” said Gabriel as Michael took his hand and he lifted him up on to the stage.

As Michael and Gabriel walked along the sparkling white road in the kingdom of heaven, Gabriel smiled with his hands behind his back.

“Where are we going?” Michael asked nervously with his hand on his sword which was on his side. Gabriel smiled.

“Where we’re going you won’t be needing that,” said Gabriel smiling.

“God has plans for you,” said Gabriel. Michael looked at him like he was crazy.

“Plans for me?” Michael asked.

“Yes. God is calling you, Michael,” said Gabriel with a kind smile,

“He’s calling me? For what?” Michael asked. At that, Gabriel stopped walking and Michael stopped walking too.

“Well whatever God has in store for you is between you and Him,” said Gabriel and he started walking again and Michael walked right along next to him. As they walked, Gabriel looked at Michael who was beautiful with his long black hair and dark eyes wearing his archangelic armor and a brilliant red skirt. Gabriel was wearing a dazzling white robe.

“You look like her,” said Gabriel with a sad smile.

“What? Who?” Michael asked.

“Your mother,” said Gabriel.

“My mother?” Michael asked.

“Yes. She was very dear to us,” said Gabriel.

“And my father?” Michael asked. Gabriel paused. There was a long awkward silence and Michael looked at him.

“Your father…no one knows,” said Gabriel.

“Oh,” said Michael with a lost empty tone in his voice. Gabriel then led him into a hall where angels were singing and playing harps. Michael looked around.

“Isn’t this the hall of the seraphim?” Michael asked. Gabriel looked at him and smiled.

“Yes,” said Gabriel. At a distance Sarah was standing there dressed in dazzling white with her enormous white wings spread out. As Michael approached her, he smiled.

“Sarah,” said Michael as he took her hand. Her smile lit up the room.

“Michael. Good of you to come,” said Sarah. Michael laughed and looked at Gabriel.

“Like I had a choice,” said Michael as they laughed.

“I’ll leave you two alone,” said Gabriel as he bowed his head.

“Goodbye, Michael. Sarah,” said Gabriel as he smiled and walked away leaving Michael and Sarah alone.

“I guess you’re wondering what you’re doing here in the hall of the seraphim,” said Sarah with a smile as Michael looked around him at the dazzling white stoned walls and a choir of angels sang hymns all around them.

“I can’t say I’m not curious. It is beautiful though,” said Michael as he marveled at the sparkling white steps where the angels were walking up and down. Sarah smiled.

“Yes it is isn’t it?” said Sarah as Michael just looked around.

“It certainly is,” said Michael.

“Michael, I would like to be honest with you. I knew your mother very well. She was a seraphim…as I am and I would like you to join us. The angelic choir of seraphim. Michael looked at her like she was nuts.

“Seraphim?” Michael asked and he laughed.

“What? What is it?” Sarah asked.

“I’m trained in the way of the sword. I’m an archangel not a seraphim,” said Michael.

“You’ll still be an archangel. You can protect us,” said Sarah with a huge smile. Michael didn’t answer.

“Think of it! Michael the archangel! Prince and leader of the heavenly host! Commander and guardian over the nine angelic choir of seraphim,” said Sarah with a huge smile. Michael then looked at her and a smirk appeared on his face.

“Are you kidding me?” Michael asked. The smile escaped Sarah’s face and she became serious.

“No. I’m not kidding. Michael, I wanna teach you of the fruits and wonders of the kingdom of heaven! Come. Take my hand,” said Sarah as Michael thought about it and slowly took her hand and she led him through out the halls of the seraphim and opened to him the scriptures which was the true Word of God. She then showed him parts of heaven he had never seen. Mountains so high that the tops of them got lost in the clouds with brilliant water falls and they walked under sapphire skies as she taught him of the wonders and beauty of the kingdom of heaven and he was intrigued.
