Baseball Cards

Buying baseball cards is becoming one of the best investments one can make BUT you must know which baseball cards to buy. "99% of all baseball cards are not worth your time" - GoldCardAuctions.com

This statement made me read more and to be honest, is the only reason I got back into baseball cards… because it made sense to me.

If you go to your local card shop and buy a random pack of baseball cards the odds of you actually getting something worthwhile is slim to none. Don't kid yourself and think you might pull a Mike Trout rookie card… unless you buy a bunch of boxes that is not happening.

So what is the secret? Buy cards that are already graded PSA 10 or PSA 9 or BGS 9.5 on eBay (or any other auction service).

Ok easy enough but which cards to I buy? Great question and here is the secret sauce. Only buy rookie cards from either GREAT HOF (Derek Jeter) players or TOP PROSPECTS who are ready to become the next BIG THING(i.e. Luis Robert).

Here is a list of HOF baseball players that make great investments at grades pSA 10

  • Mike Trout
  • Barry Bonds
  • Nolan Ryan
  • Greg Maddux
  • Chipper Jones
  • Ty Cobb
  • Babe Ruth
  • Willie Mays
  • Hank Aaron
  • Sany Kofax
  • Stan Musial
  • Bob Gibson

Here is a list of top prospects worth a glance…

  • Vlad Jr
  • Luis Robert
  • Ronald Acuna Jr.
  • Wander Franco
  • Tatis Jr.

Please remember investing in top prospects is riskier but can also result in a greater ROI.
