Heard

When you talk, they listen their mouths open agape, their eyes wide as they hang on every word. At first you feel excited, that you are being heard, finally understood but then you begin to realize you are being played.

They have no desire to take action, this is where their revolution ends. For they have listened to a Black Girl, they have heard her piece and they can say, they know. Without any further research they can now take your words and pass them off as their own.

To them, the Racism Problem has been solved. Their guilt is absolved, all is forgiven because they granted you a seat at their well educated table so equality rings but there is no freedom there, there is only other and you stick out, stand out, blare out.
