Symptoms of Endometriosis and Surgery

Laparascopy, an endometriosis surgery,  is the most commonly used procedure to diagnose and treat mild to moderate endometriosis.  The benefit to this type of procedure is that the surgeon doesn’t have to make a large incision in the abdomen. Instead, a very small incision is made and a laparscope is inserted which has a light on it so that the adhesions can be seen easily.

If you will be having a laparascopy, you will be advised not to have anything to drink or eat for at least eight hours prior to the procedure. A gynecologist or surgeon will perform the surgery. You will be awake during the procedure since they usually use a general or spinal anesthetic. They will inflate your abdomen with gas (either carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide). Once the gas has been inserted, then the surgeon will insert the laparascope to examine your internal organs and remove any implants that are visible. The entire procedure should take approximately 45 minutes. This procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis so you will, most likely, be permitted to return home the same day.

Do You Think You Have Endometriosis?

If you have any doubts or questions regarding your reproductive health and you suspect you might have endometriosis, I recommend that you schedule an appointment with your gynecologist immediately. This condition gets progressively worse as time passes by so you will save yourself a great deal of pain and suffering if you address it as soon as possible. I’d suggest that you begin charting your cycles because it’s been noted that women with endometriosis generally have a much higher basal body temperature throughout their cycle.

If you are looking to cure endometriosis you must take action now and consult IVF centre in Mumbai. Time is of the essence!

What Causes The Symptoms of Endometriosis?

The symptoms of endometriosis are caused by the formation of endometrial implants in other areas of the pelvic region such as the outer uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and even bladder.  These implants form painful scars and also adhesions.

The main cause of endometriosis is an excess of estrogen within a woman’s body during her reproductive years.

Symptoms of Endometriosis and Infertility

Endometriosis and infertility are distinctly related. It is said that approximately 40% of women who suffer from endometriosis will have some degree of infertility.  Those are staggering odds and often times, many women will never be able to conceive.  However, through the use of laparoscopy for infertility surgery, it is possible for fertility to be restored at fertility clinic mumbai
