I was born in the small fishing village of Hickman's Harbour, Newfoundland, in 1946. I married a resettled outport lady, Norma Ivany, in 1969. We lived in Toronto for a few years until the lure of the wild Atlantic drew me back home, in spite of the objections from my better half.
I started writing at the age of 69, in protest to the government budget of the day. Since then I have written numerous short stories and poems in many genres, including political satire, history, love stories, tragedy spirituality, etc.
While most of my writings are true accounts of life in the mid twentieth century, sometimes I exaggerate a bit, thus I have coined a word to describe it. TRICTION. Mostly truth with a bit of fiction added to liven it up a bit,
