Devon meets her mate and the Alpha of a pack one night after he takes her from her house. Hunter kidnapped Devon after he heard a guy going to hurt her and he takes her to where he lives with his pack. She first hates him and tries to run away but he brings her back in his wolf form. 

Hunter shows her the way how they live and she starts to love him and where they now live. However, people soon figure out that she's been gone for almost half a year and police start to find her everywhere. 

She shows her true love when she cares for him one night after he had a fight with the guy who tried to kidnap Devon from him. She didn't leave his side and they kiss each other for the first time. 

How long will she stay with her Alpha mate before she's gone for good? How will a 6’5” guy be kind to a 5’5” girl without crushing her to death? 

  I was walking away from the small shop and locked the door with the keys before making my way to my house. It was pass midnight when I looked at my phone and I decided to call my friend while going to the nearest 24/7 opened grocery store. I've been friends with Gwen since birth and we live a few blocks away. 

I places bananas, apples, oranges, bread and butter in the basket. I was in the frozen food section while I spoke with Gwen. She began telling me about her boyfriend and how he's been doing after his surgery. 

”Also he won't touch me or kiss me like he used to do. It's like we don't know each other anymore!” Gwen said while I began putting the ice cream and going to check out the things. 

I soon came to my house and locked the door quickly behind me. I played some music on my TV while I made myself a sandwich and took out the ice cream and my spoon. I forgot about the whipped cream when I noticed I forgot something. My phone. My phone and charger had to be with me at all times or I'll die of boredom. 

When I returned to my living room I saw a stranger standing and looking at me. I had a pocket knife and pepper spray in my hoodie pocket at all times. ”Who are you and why did you break into my house?!” I asked him as he looked out the window and mumbled something under his breath. 

”You’ll forget about this in the morning” I quickly passed out onto my carpet floor and I was carried by him while we left my apartment. I felt him carrying my backpack on my shoulder and I always pack things in there just in case of an emergency situation. 

I packed my laptop, charger for my devices, sketchbook, art supplies, books, and other personal things. I was in the passenger seat next to him and I heard him talking to someone over his phone. He was saying things like finding a mate and training me for the pack we both now share. 

8:00 a.m. 

I woke up in a different room and I for sure knew that I wasn't in New York anymore. We were deeply in the forest and I turned around when I saw him entering the room. 

”Why the heck would you kidnap me from my own house?! Who are you and what's with wolf names with you?” I asked him while wanting to know how the heck I ended up here and with him. He put my backpack and new clothes on the plain bed I slept on last night. 

”I’m Hunter and you're my mate. I heard a few guys planning to kidnap you and I had to save you before it was too late. My pack will protect you here while I'm gone and you will join me for breakfast today. I brought you clothes so you don't feel dirty and I'll wait for you in the hallway” He closed the door behind him and I swear he looked at me through the hole in the door. 

I changed into some black ripped jeans, a black tank top, purple plaid shirt and my black converse. I quickly grabbed my beanie and he stood a centimeter from the door. The table already had people sitting there and I froze at seeing all the boys with no shirts on. 

”What’s the matter?” Hunter asked me as I pulled him aside to the hallway. I told him that I’m socially awkward and get uncomfortable in front of guys with no shirts on. 

“Pack members this is my mate and as the rules are you all have to be presentable in front of her and me as well. Put on your shirts and be kind to Devon” They all went to their rooms and they had on shirts over their selves. I wasn't that hungry and after breakfast, I left the table and headed to the library of the house. It reminded me of the library in a movie I once watched. There were three rectangular tables with six chairs, four circle tables with five chairs and more than twenty bookshelves. 

I grabbed a book that I used to read a lot as a child and I began reading the book. ”You read?” Hunter asked me as I placed the book on the table and I nodded while we walked around the library together. 

”How did you find me and why me?” I asked him when he looked at me from a book and he walked closer towards me. He caressed his thumb over my bottom lip and I turned my head to one side as he moved his thumb to my face. 

”I’ll tell you at another time. Now you have to stay here while I'm gone” He brought me to the bedroom and locked the four when I asked him why he was leaving me alone. I tried to break the door down but it was too hard for me to make a hole into it. 

I began getting texts from Gwen like crazy and she began asking me the the big question. 

Gwen: Where are you?! I’ve been waiting for you to open the store for the whole day and boss isn’t happy about it either!!

Me: I know. 

Gwen: why aren’t you home either?! 

Me: It's complicated. I’ll tell you later. 

I turned my phone off while I began thinking of a plan to get out from this place. I put all my things in my backpack and I jumped off from the window to the ground and began running where my feet could take me. Within a hour I was out of breath and I was too tired to even walk a step more. I rested my head on a tree and closed my eyes as my head was pouncing. 

I heard a branch breaking when I stood up and I took my pocket knife out for protection. The wolf I saw was more than huge, it was a giant and his eyes didn’t look that friendly. He growled at me loudly and had white drool over his mouth. I began sprinting while avoiding getting attacked by the wolf. 

SNAP! 

I broke my ankle while tripping over a hard large rock and I had my back to the tree and I held my scratched arm close to my chest. When I closed my eyes I heard another giant wolf tackling and I stayed in shock while trying to stand up. The wolf that saved me had his fur black, his paws were about the size of two fists, a scare was on his back and he had dark brown almond diamond eyes. 

Hunter was the black who pushed the other wolf off the cliff and protected me. I began getting unconscious and blacked out when he called my name. 

11:00 p.m. 

I was in my room when I woke up again and felt pain in my head and even more over my body. I wasn’t in the same clothes I had on this morning and my wounds were wrapped in bandages. I was wearing shorts and a tank top. Hunter didn’t look happy to see me in this condition and I frowned while looking out at the window. 

“How’s your leg and arm doing?” He asked me while sitting on the edge of my bed and the room got warmer with the chimney being on. 

”Fine but you still didn't answer my question from earlier. Why am I here with you and when did you pick me as your soul mate?” I asked him again while I stared at him with serious eyes and he sat closer towards me when he began telling me the truth. 

”Well, my pack and I are werewolves from a tribe that's been here since mankind has been created and I first found you that one night when you were rushed to the hospital when you were fifteen. I visited you and your bond with me hasn't changed at all. It's been as strong since the beginning and my love for you hasn't changed at all. It's my job to protect you from any danger and you still need to be here while I'm gone fighting others, going to pack meetings or doing other things. You may stay here in the library or with Angie the person who will be there for your needs and your personal maid as well” He kissed my forehead before leaving me alone and I began thinking about him while the night went on.

He saved me from getting killed by another wolf and my mate is also a werewolf. I went to sleep like a rock the moment my head touched the pillow. He wasn't that bad for the first day and I wondered what other things he might do with me while I stayed here for who knows how long.
