Chapter 1 | Cavu

Meeting a Delta is everyone’s wish. To become one is their dream. For me, just getting a glance at a Delta would be impossible. Deltas are human-like creatures that control what happens in nature. The only difference between humans and Deltas is their eyes. Each Delta has flames around their eyes with a unique color flame that represents what they control. They all live in a secret tower. The only time they ever come out is when they need to balance nature after big storms. I live on a small island near Hawaii called Cavu. The island can only fit one village, so all the houses are cramped together.  Everyday, the people of the village try to find this Delta tower. Nobody has ever found it. But I, Cano, will get it done.

“You’re only a child, you can’t search for the Delta tower!”

The village always tells me. But me and my brother Hallo will find it. We will prove the village wrong. Everyday after school, we always plan our movement. Today, we finally set sail.

Chapter 2 | Set Sail

Hallo and I went to the docks.

“So, which we picking, sis?” Hallo asked me.

I looked for the boat I checked out a few weeks ago. The engine was powerful enough to bring us across the globe in about a year! That is pretty impressive. Most engines can take you around the world in twenty years! The boat had a storage space large enough to hold enough food and clean water to last for decades. It also had a roof on top, so if it rained we’d be protected. The roof was a light blue. It was made out of a thick fabric.   Then, I spotted it. I walked over to it and Hallo followed. I hopped in the boat and went into the engine room. The long cord attached to the engine reached my feet. I tugged on the cord and the engine started up. I waved my hand as a single for Hallo to get in the boat. I walked to the steering wheel.  Before we accelerated, Hallo interrupted me.

“Shouldn’t we tell the orphanage where we went?”

He asked, looking back at the island.

“Nah, I already left a note on our door.”

I replied. Then, we were off! After an hour of searching, I realized somethig. I saw that our fuel tank was almost empty! Someone must have used the boat before us. Luckily, we had enough fuel to turn back. But then, a huge wave formed right behind us. If I turned the boat around, we’d be swallowed by the wave. Hallo was taking a nap, so he couldn’t back me up. I zoomed across the sea as the wave towered over me. I swerved around, the wave kept chasing me. It was like it was following us. Then, I heard a beeping sound. The fuel tank was empty! I looked behind me, and the wave created a shadow under me. It loomed over me as I quivered. Then, the wave tumbled on top of the boat. Everything went black. Then, when I awoke, I was greeted by a tall orange and white tower, with the small oval rooms on the top. Hallo climbed out of the engine room. He looked shocked when he saw the tower. Then, I noticed a strange speaker near the door. I hopped off the recked boat and approached the strange thing.

“Are you sure it’s safe?” Hallo asked.

I shrugged. “Well, there is only one way to find out.”

Hallo rolled his eyes and sighed.  Then, next to the speaker, I noticed buttons with, the names of the Deltas! We made it!

Chapter 3 |Karomal

“Yes! We did it!” I yelled.

“We made it to the Delta tower!”

All the buttons were green, with the Deltas’ names in a darkened green. Then, there was a red button that said ‘Guest’. Guest was also written in a darkened green. I pushed the button, and the big white doors slowly opened. We were greeted by Karomal, the Delta of the wind. (Pronounced Kar-oh-mal) She had white flaming eyes with pink pupils. She stood on a gust on wind, allowing her to hover off the ground. She was very pale and thin, but still very powerful. Karomal took a glance at us, then clenched her teeth together.

“If this is a dream, wake me up.” She mumbled, slightly slouching over.

“Are you Karomal, Delta of the wind?”

I asked, slowly approaching.

“No, I’m a talking chicken.”

She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Me and Hallo ran up to her.

“Can we come inside?”

Hallo asked, jumping up and down.

“Fine.”

 Karomal said.

“Just don’t touch anything!” Karomal escorted us through the tower. She brought us to her room. Inside was her wind box sitting on a mini pillar. Her wind box allowed her to control the wind. From as small as a breeze to as big as a tornado! Me and Hallo ran up to it.

“Don’t touch it!” Karomal yelled.

“Even the slightest nudge can create the worst of disasters.” She explained.

I sighed, then.

“Hey Karomal!”

I heard a voice yell. Karomal stepped through the doorway.

“Stay here, and don’t break anything!”

Soon enough, Karomal was out of sight, heading towards the voice. Once she left, Hallo and I looked at each other and smiled. We grabbed the box, and messed around with the wind inside. Then, we heard Karomal coming back. We set the box down and stood in front of it, hoping she wouldn’t notice. I glanced over at the box and it was in the wind inside was in the form of a tornado. It will probably last for only a few seconds. Then, Karomal walked in the room. Behind her was Sevonalla, the Delta of water.
