This book is based off of the book series Warriors by Erin Hunter. The books are awesome and I highly recommend reading them before reading this, otherwise you may get a little confused. All the character, clans, and locations (expect for Starclan) are not cannon. The non-cannon warrior code that the cats in the book follow are in the next chapter. Lots of extra things will be at the end of the book.  Now, on with the book. 

Fun fact: Erin Hunter is actually six people!

(This warrior code is non-cannon and only the cats in this book follow it. Some of the things n the code are similar to the cannon code.) 

1. Stay loyal to your clan. You may have friends or a mate in another clan, but you must be able to attack them or their clan if you have to. 

2. If two cats become mates, they must have a Mate Ceremony (similar to a wedding) after they both agree. After the Mate Ceremony, both cats must travel to the StarRock. 

3. Newborn kits must be brought to the StarRock as soon as possible.  

4. Kits cannot be attacked or harmed, even if they are rogues, loners, kittypets, or from another clan. 

5. A kit cannot leave camp unless if their mother and/or father goes with them.

6. Only warriors that are training or has trained at least one apprentice can be a deputy. 

7. A cat cannot randomly hunt prey and kill it just for fun. 

8. Once the leader dies, the deputy must travel to the StarRock with the medicine cat to receive their nine lives. A new deputy must be picked before moon-down.

9. A leader cannot be exiled.

10. A true warrior stays in their clan until death. 

(This rule is removed later in the book)11. If a cat has a feature that effects the way the function, (Blind, deaf, can’t walk right, etc.) they must become a medicine cat. Muteness is the only exception. 

12. Medicine cats can have mates and kits, but their mates and kits must be in their clan. 

13. A cat cannot hurt a medicine cat, and a medicine cat cannot hurt another cat. 

14. There can be only three medicine cats in one clan.  

15. Medicine cats must help all cats, clan cats or not. 

16. A medicine cat cannot leave the clan or be exiled. 

17. If a rogue, loner, or kittypet joins the clan, they name must be changed and must be made an apprentice. 

18. If a clan cat tries to kill or harm another cat, or has harmed or killed another cat, they shall go back to being and apprentice and will be given a cruel prefix until they can prove their loyalty.  (Carelesspaw, Monsterpaw, Filthypaw, ect.)

19. If a warrior breaks the same rule four times in a row, they will be exiled and not allowed to join again until a hundred moons has passed. 

20. All cats must always believe in Starclan. 

 “Once, a long long, very long time ago, there were only rogues and kittypets, no loners, no clan cats, only rogues and kittypets. Then, three rogues named Flame, Frost, and Rubble got into a fight. Flame was a swift red tabby tom, who’ve got in many fight before. Frost was a blue she-cat with white paws, ears, belly and tail tip. She’s very strong and elegant, but she’s not afraid to fight. Rubble was a small young brown tom with red stripes and spots. He was very smart and usually outsmarted his opponents. The three cats fought for what felt like ages. Soon enough, they stopped fighting and split three different ways to three different territories. Flame went to the edge of the forest and to the desert, and stayed in the sand. He made many holes and many dens. Frost also went to the end of the forest, but she went to the edge of the artic parts. She made the dens in ice caves. Rubble went to another end of the forest, and lived on the mountains. He made boulders for dens. All the other rogues got nervous because of their power, so they joined either Frost, Flame, or Rubble. Very few stayed rogues. Some of them didn’t wish to cause trouble, so they became loners. The rest of the cats that didn’t want to be rogue fled to a Twoleg Nest out of fear. Then, the stars spoke to Flame, Frost, and Rubble. We now call those stars Starclan. They told them to go to a strange cave. They all did, and in that cave they found something called the StarRock. When they touched their noses to it, they were given nine lives, and named Flamestar, Froststar, and Rubblestar. They were told the warrior code and how to properly name cats.They then lived in peace and rarely fought. They all came to gatherings, and gave warrior names to the cats that were old enough. And that’s how the three clans, Flameclan, Frostclan, and Rubbleclan were created.” 

The elder, Stoneclaw explained to the young she-kit, Nightkit. 

“What about Mommyclan?” 

Nightkit asked. Stoneclaw chuckled. Then, he went on.

“Well, Ravenclan is the newest clan. The three main clans were created millions of moons ago, even before I was born! Your mother was a loner named Raven. As you know, she is the black and gray tabby that always sits on that high rock. Well when she was a loner, she bumped into three rogues.  They wanted to fight, but Raven knew she couldn’t fight them off by herself. When they did fight, Raven almost died, but, then, she ran off. Then she went to the StarRock with lots of prey and herbs, and offered it to the cats of Starclan. She asked them for strength so she can defeat the rogues. Starclan granted her nine lives and gave her the name Ravenstar. Then, she found the rogues in their camp in the middle of the forest, and saw them attacking another loner. So then, she jumped in and attacked the rogues. When they saw her power, the rogues ran off in fear. The loner’s name was Tree. He asked if he could join Ravenstar’s new clan, Ravenclan. She made the rogue camp the clan camp. After Tree joined, many other cats started joining. Soon enough, they started attending gathering. Crazy, is it not?”

Stoneclaw chuckled. 

“Yeah, That is crazy.” 

Nightkit smiled. Nightkit was a small black kit with silver spots. 

“All cats able to spot the Ravens above, gather around the flight rock for a clan meeting!” 

Ravenstar called. 

“Bye Stoneclaw. Thanks for the story!” 

Nightkit rushed out of the elders den and to the flight rock. The flight rock was a rock that loomed above camp. It had black feathers surrounding it. 

“Sadly, we have lost our deputy, Mudleap, to blackcough. He will be remembered. But we do not have time to mope, we must pick a new deputy.”

Ravenstar scanned the warriors. 

“I think the best choice would be Deerfoot. She has always been loyal and strong. Do you accept, Deerfoot?” 

Deerfoot slowly nodded. 

“Then, let Starclan hear my words and approve my choice. Deerfoot is the new deputy of Ravenclan!” 

All the cats chanted Deerfoot’s name. 

“Dismissed!” 

All the cats continued what they were doing before. Ravenstar leaped down to see her kit. 

“When I grow up, I want to be a deputy!” 

Nightkit lifted her head up in pride. 

“I’m sure you’ll be a deputy some day. But for now, your father wants to see you in the nursery.” 

Nightkit rushed to the nursery. She then saw her father, Beesplash. Beesplash was yellow with a white and black tail. He had a silver neck tuff, belly, and stripes. He was sitting next to a yellow kit with black dots and a silver tail. 

“Nightkit, this is your new brother Goldkit.” 

Nightkit jumped up and down with joy. 

“Now, tomorrow you become and appreciate so I need you to do something for daddy, okay?” 

Nightkit nodded. 

“After your training, can you help me and mommy take care of Goldkit?” 

“Of course, daddy!”

“Alright, goodnight Nightkit.” 

Beesplash padded out to the warriors den. Nightkit curled up next to her newborn brother Goldkit. Nightkit wrapped her tail around him. She quickly fell asleep from the warm comfort of Goldkit. While they were asleep, a few other kits entered.
