There’s a dragon in the woods

Somewhere deep in the dark dark wood,

Lived a dragon called Tommy who was up to no good,

No one knew how he came to be,

Living there for all to see,

But there he lived, and there he stayed,

For two little brothers a good friend he made,

And so one day he decided to be...

That naughty dragon that hid in the tree,

He waited and waited for passers by,

Sniggering away with a gleam in his eye,

Then out he jumped his teeth on show

His claws were sharp, his belly did glow

And even though he was just having fun,

He roared so loud that he made them run

And over he fell in fits of giggles,

Laughing so loud his belly wiggled

And his friends the two brothers Matthew and jack

Were stood far behind the dragons back,

Because jack and Matthew they both knew,

that it wouldn’t be long before Tommy blew,

His nostrils rumbled and then they grumbled

He pulled a face

With lack of grace

And just like that as if on cue,

His nose exploded yucky goo,

It landed on a load of trees

And with regret dropped to his knees

He grabbed his little dragon head

And so embarrassed he went bright red

He cried out loud “the shame the shame. I only have myself to blame.”

And Matthew and jack laughed and laughed laughing so hard they didn’t see

Their cousin Jolene unfortunately had

Slipped and fallen dramatically

On Tommy’s yucky dragon goo

Which stuck to her like sticky glue

There wasn’t much Jolene could say

But wished she hadn’t come to play

Because she was covered in dragon goo

And yes it really stuck like glue

Now Tommy was naughty as could be

So decided it was time to flee

But as he turned to fly away

His wing got caught and he was forced to stay,

So now a lesson was finally learned

The only way his friendship was earned

Was to stay as good as good as he could

because he was the dragon who lived in the wood.
